Gas South is seeking a tech-savvy, self-starter Salesforce Administrator to support, configure, maintain, and improve our Salesforce platform. This role involves gathering business requirements from users and stakeholders to enhance and upgrade the platform, ensuring optimal operational support. You will partner closely with the Business teams to implement configuration changes, workflows, research issues, and manage the day-to-day operations of the Salesforce platform. Collaboration with the development team to roll out new features and bug fixes is also essential.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, collaborative, curious, and a critical thinker. You should be able to guide and train business users on Salesforce best practices, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and have an in-depth understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem, including system infrastructure, data, and configuration development tools. Comfort with change management and governance, effective communication skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage all aspects of a Salesforce project are crucial. You will provide consultative direction to stakeholders at all levels at Gas South, translating technical information into layman’s terms and explaining design options and their potential impact. Your ability to see the big picture while managing the details will ensure successful updates and implementations.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Manage the Salesforce Energies and Utilities cloud platform – day-to-day maintenance, support, 
    upgrades, environment management, governance, and testing. Partner and coordinate with 
    product owners, and development teams to schedule and execute production releases.
  • Assist in the development of Salesforce reports, analytics, and dashboards to support and monitor 
    activity as well as key performance metrics. Assist with data analysis, data scrubbing and repair 
    as needed.
  • Work closely with product owner to understand the enhancement requests and lead the design, 
    configuration, testing and deployment through implementation. Demonstrate and provide 
    information about the new Salesforce features as they are released by Salesforce.
  • Maintain accurate and effective documentation of business processes, SOPs, and test cases, 
    including all changes and inquiries from product owner in SFDC ticket system with proof of 
    completion for audit purposes.
  • Work with product owner and assist in prioritization of work in the SFDC ticket system based on 
    users need analysis and execute changes or escalate to IT for support
  • Data management to improve Salesforce data quality, implementing rules and automation as 
    needed
  • Proactive system maintenance including Security Reviews, Release Updates, Health Check, and 
    Optimizer

Preferred job related skills:

  • Preferred Experience
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator certificate and Cloud Certifications preferred
  • Trailhead Badges/Super Badges
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce standard object model
  • Salesforce Object Query Language (SOQL) experience
  • Experience with Visualforce, Apex, Lightning components and triggers
  • Experience with Salesforce.com Web Services APIs - Force.com SOAP and REST-based Web Service APIs, the Bulk API, and the Metadata API
  • Experience in Salesforce Energies and Utilities cloud is highly preferred but not required
  • Experience in creating custom objects, validation rules, workflows, process automation, reporting, and dashboards
  • Experience in creating custom objects, validation rules, workflows, process automation, reporting, and dashboards
  • Experience in other third-party tools commonly connected to Salesforce is a plus (i.e. eSignature solutions, data tools, backup and restore apps, etc.)
  • Automated DevOps/release management experience
  • Knowledge of social communities and requirements gathering process preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience delivering projects using Agile based methodology

Education/Experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business or related field
  • 4-7 Years of Salesforce Administrator experience

Pay range is commensurate with education, experience, specialized skills or certifications, etc.
