Position Summary:

The Salesforce Administrator supports the ongoing administration, improvement, and adoption of Haag’s Salesforce platform. Reporting directly to the Technology Manager, this role gathers business requirements, evaluates user feedback, and translates operational needs into scalable, user-focused solutions that align with business objectives.

The Salesforce Administrator manages user access and support, configuration, data quality, training, documentation, and platform governance while collaborating closely with our in-house Salesforce Developer on enhancements, integrations, and technical solutions. Success in this role requires strong knowledge of the Salesforce and Certinia platforms, sound judgment in prioritizing and communicating work, and the ability to explain technical concepts and design options clearly to stakeholders at all levels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer Salesforce users, licenses, roles, profiles, permission sets, public groups, organization-wide defaults, sharing rules, and user onboarding or deactivation.
  • Configure and maintain Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, record types, Dynamic Forms, actions, apps, Flow automation, approval processes, reports, dashboards, and mobile functionality.
  • Gather and document business requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable Salesforce solutions.
  • Manage sandbox environments and support testing, deployment, validation, and documentation of configuration changes.
  • Maintain data quality through data standards, validation rules, duplicate management, imports, exports, audits, and appropriate automation.
  • Provide proactive system maintenance, including security and access reviews, release readiness, configuration reviews, and monitoring of automation and recurring errors.
  • Manage and resolve user support requests, troubleshoot issues, and escalate defects or development needs as appropriate.
  • Support the Salesforce roadmap by assessing enhancement requests, coordinating approved changes, and following change-management and governance standards.
  • Coordinate user acceptance and regression testing, release communications, training, and documentation for platform changes.
  • Monitor user adoption and system usage and recommend improvements to processes, training, and system design.
  • Collaborate with our in-house Salesforce Developer and relevant stakeholders on integrations, connected applications, technical design, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Support management of integrated third-party applications including Mulesoft, Conga, Egnyte, Concur, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in a technical field
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Experience: Experience implementing Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to) automation, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards, and reports
  • Experience: At least two years of Salesforce administration experience, including hands-on experience configuring automation, security and access controls, objects, fields, page layouts, record types, applications, reports, and dashboards.
  • Certifications: Salesforce Administrator certification preferred
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Salesforce administration.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience with Certinia and integrated third-party applications such as MuleSoft, Conga, Egnyte, and Concur.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Salesforce administration and declarative configuration, including Flow automation, security, access controls, reports, and dashboards.
  • Knowledge of data quality management, data imports and exports, testing, release management, and change governance.
  • Ability to gather and translate business requirements into scalable, best-practice solutions.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, critical-thinking, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to prioritize support requests and enhancement work effectively.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, collaborate with developers and integration owners, and build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to train users and stakeholders and create clear technical and process documentation.
  • Adaptability, responsiveness, and willingness to adjust priorities in a changing environment.

 Physical Demands / Work Environment:

Work Environment: This position primarily operates in a professional office or remote-work environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

If based in the DFW or Houston area, the employee will go into one of our existing offices approximately 1 day per week.  For employees not in those areas this will be fully remote with occasional travel to either our DFW or Houston offices for meetings.

 Work Location and Travel: Employees located in the Dallas–Fort Worth or Houston areas are expected to work from a Haag office approximately one day per week. Employees outside those areas may work remotely but may be required to travel occasionally to the Dallas–Fort Worth or Houston office for meetings, training, or other business needs.

Compensation & Benefits:

The expected base salary range for this role is $75,000 - $100,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
