The Territory Vice President of Sales will manage sales efforts to include new account sales, current account expansion, and sales strategy. The position is measured by, and expected to achieve all agreed upon new sales goals for the assigned territory.
Job Description
The Territory Vice President of Sales will be responsible for new customer acquisition, sales strategy and execution in the Department of Defense and Department State Sales. The Territory Vice President of Sales will manage sales efforts to include new account sales, current account expansion, and sales strategy. The position is measured by, and expected to achieve all agreed upon new sales goals for the assigned territory.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain MSI’s company brand, enhancing our position in the market.
Develop, maintain, and manage the implementation of strategic sales plans with a focus on emerging and future technologies.
Represent MSI by driving business development with company partners.
Manage efforts to research and identify customer prospects and targets.
Conduct market research and recommend product positioning and pricing strategy.
Accountable for territory sales quotas based on corporate revenue goals.
Personally engage in key account sales, business development, and ongoing customer success.
Collaborate with sales, products, and marketing teams to develop new product offerings within existing and new lines of business.
Develop and actively maintain sales forecasts across assigned accounts and lines of business.

Measure and report results of sales and plan execution.
Identify areas for improvement and act to implement positive change.
Attract into the organization and develop a diverse pool of future leaders.
Negotiating large government contracts.
Resolving complex customer service and satisfaction issues.
Establishing a collaborative, energetic and exciting working environment as the leader of the Territory.
Position has a Global responsibility, International travel is required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
10+ years of sales/leadership experience within the public safety/government marketplace
Sales management acumen with direct teams
Experience creating data driven programs to drive company strategy.
Exemplary written and oral communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain a necessary security clearance as required by government contract
Travel Requirement:
This individual can be based anywhere in the US. Domestic travel is anticipated 25% of the time with international travel a few times annually.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of sales/leadership experience within the public safety/government marketplace
