The Red Canary + Microsoft Business Development Team is responsible for the business relationship with Microsoft Leadership and Microsoft Account Teams as we partner together on our respective solutions to Customers. The Senior Business Development Executive working with Microsoft sellers is a high impact, pivotal role that will influence strategic direction, provide executive visibility, and demonstrate execution excellence. You will be a leader and subject matter expert on driving effective go-to-market (GTM) and co-selling activity with Microsoft sellers around Red Canary products. Success in this role will be measured based on ability to drive significant revenue impact through effective joint GTM and targeted co-selling.
What You'll Do
- Use your knowledge of Microsoft and Red Canary security solutions to create a Co-Sell Sales Strategy to partner directly with Microsoft Account Teams and Leadership to drive net new opportunities
- Maintain joint sales pipeline, support internal and external sales teams in closing strategic deals, and ensure sales alignment with Microsoft
- Support Microsoft-sourced sales engagements through Co-Selling Referrals, Partner-Sourced leads, and related forecasting activities
- Maintain a big picture view of the solution, understanding not only the technology but how the solution fits into the overall business, the problem that Red Canary is solving and how it will work with Azure and M365
- Empower internal individuals and teams to exceed objectives through coaching and mentorship on the Microsoft ecosystem and meeting various Microsoft program and sales requirements
- Learn new and emerging technologies and remain current with information security news, techniques, and trends
- Ensure high forecasting accuracy and consistency; attain quarterly and yearly results
What You'll Need
- 6-10 years of experience in Enterprise/Mid-Market sales experience in technology software, technology services or information security
- Experience working at Microsoft, a Microsoft Partner or a Microsoft Alliance role with a network of Microsoft employees preferred
- An understanding of Microsoft cloud technologies and Security solutions
- A deep understanding and recent experience working with the following: Partner Center, MCI, Microsoft Account Team Roles (Enterprise/SMC), Co-Sell-Athons, Microsoft Sales Plays, Microsoft Priority Industries, ACR, E5 plays, PDM/ECM, ECIF/PIE, Build Intent Workshops, FastTrack, CPOR, PAL
- Strategic problem solving with the ability to implement both short-term and long-term sales plans
- Ability to manage virtual teams across functions, geographies, and multiple companies; inclusive and collaborative; driving teamwork and cross-team alignment
- Effective communication skills are critical including the ability to present complex ideas and concepts to a wide range and size of audiences, from sales and marketing managers to Executive leadership
Targeted Compensation Range (salary/commission): $227,500 - $266,500 OTE (depending on experience) + equity
