ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a passionate and motivated Sales Development Manager who will lead Benchling's SDR team in Boston. This leader is responsible for coaching a high-performing team, plan and motivate to help define the future of Life Sciences.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hire, coach and develop early stage sales professionals
- Create a high performance culture where the top SDRs progress to become top performing AEs
- Scale & optimize Outbound Sales Development motions
- Regularly report on performance using SFDC and SalesLoft
- Set and achieve ambitious goals quarter after quarter
- Promote positive actions through the use of creative incentives
- Ensure smooth hand-off of prospects from marketing to SDRs and from SDRs to Account Executives
- Foster a culture of immediate constructive feedback and deliver it regularly
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-3 years experience in a Sales Development capacity in a high growth organization
- 1+ year of managing experience Sales Development in SaaS
- Passionate about Benchling’s mission and the acceleration of life sciences research
- A passion for coaching, you have a keen eye for the nuances that will make SDRs better sales people and business leaders each and every day
- Driven to meet/exceed goals and KPIs with a proven history of consistent high achievement
- A passion for operational rigor and excellence, and you thrive in finding the levers to accelerate growth
- Salesforce dashboards are on your list of favorite things
- Background in life sciences a plus but not required
This position is based in Boston, MA. We will only consider candidates for this role, who are based in the Boston greater area or are open to relocating to Boston, MA to work a hybrid schedule.
SALARY RANGE
Benchling takes a market-based approach to pay. The candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, interview performance, and work location. For this role the base salary range is $110,155.00 - $149,033.00
