JOB SUMMARY
The
Director, Regional Sales isresponsible for coordinating the activities of the regional Direct Sales Team in Texas, helping to meet and exceed budgeted sales goals. In this role you will develop and implement sales plans to support Company objectives for optimum market penetrations, at rates consistent with short and long term business goals. You will able be responsible for the development, oversight and execution of effective sales strategies and tactics to grow Charter's customer base.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
Direct Sales Managers, in the development of customer and sales strategies. Develop sales plans designed to meet or exceed customer growth and revenue projections. Communicate overall plan, strategy, and matrix requirements to field personnel; monitor and evaluate results.
Assist Direct Sales Team in monitoring activities and results; make recommendations for strategic adjustments to maximize growth opportunities.
Help recruit, interview, hire, train and guide Direct Sales staff, while communicating with sales staff all current market offers.
Handle territory assignments for residential and MDU Relationship Executives.
Handle personnel issues, including performance appraisals, coaching, safety training, etc.
Assist with budget preparation, and provide input on broader marketing issues.
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Knowledge of direct sales strategies
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Demonstrated ability to direct and motivate others
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to use personal computer and software applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Education
Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field, or equivalent sales experience
Related Work Experience
Sales experience -
5 years
Management experience -
10 years
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Knowledge of cable television products and services
Related Work Experience
CATV experience -
3 years
Valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record within Company required standards and auto insurance
WORKING CONDITIONS
Office environment
Travel as required
