Business Development Representative

The Business Development Representative position is responsible for opening new relationships with prospective partner accounts. Through prospective partner research, creative outreach strategies, and target account development, The BDR will identify prospective clients for whom Mainstay can deliver a transformative engagement experience at a premium value.
What You’ll Do
- Work alongside Mainstay’s Enterprise Sales team to target, map, and develop prospecting strategies to drive new business opportunities
- Develop and strategize with life-cycle and growth marketing to deliver the right message to the right clients at the right time
- Execute outbound client engagement strategies through effective and regular prospecting to qualify leads through calls, emails, and social media
- Turn client connect calls into scheduled Discovery Conversations with Enterprise Sales Executives to further qualify a prospect’s institution and potential need for a partnership with Mainstay.
- Share the value and meaning to institutions who are seeking a top tier partner to develop a true student-centric, two-day communication model with proven results.
What You’ll Bring
- 1+ years of sales experience in outbound prospecting and new client engagement
- Desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- “No task is too small” attitude, with an eagerness to learn
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Curious to ask questions to understand the “why” behind the “why”
- Ability to craft valuable and compelling messaging that spark client interest

The minimum pay for this role is $50,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to demonstrated skill set, years & depth of experience, and some role dependent factors that can include certifications and software expertise.
