Business Development Representative - OPE

We are searching for a Business Development Representative for Outdoor Power Equipment (OPE), who will spend their days calling on and qualifying prospect dealerships; working in tandem with a Regional Sales Manager (RSM), within a small team environment. You will be responsible for selling the Octane Value Prop to prospective dealers, enrolling those stores, following up and, working with those enrolled dealers until they are comfortable submitting and funding deals on their own. If an engaged dealer falls out of active status the BDR is there to coordinate with their RSM; re-engage the dealer; uncover obstructions and surmount to get their dealers/stores back on track with their engagement cadence. Once a dealer is engaged and active, the RSM and BDR work in tandem to maintain and nurture relationships.
Responsibilities & Abilities include:
- Cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to dealership; at a high output cadence
- Qualifying leads from digital campaigns, conferences, references, trade shows, etc; creating and maintaining a database of prospect clients, building pipelines with team members that exceed targets.
- Presenting and delivering information to power sport and outdoor power equipment dealers
- Answering dealer questions and follow-up call questions
- Successfully closing on Dealer Agreements and scheduling on-boardings.
- Maintaining Salesforce dealer information
- Ownership of territory; commitment to dealer success
REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm to make cold calls and talking to new people all day through the use of your excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Persuasive and goal-oriented with an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor with the tenacity to handle rejection
- Eager to expand company with new sales, clients, and territories
- Self-motivated and self-directed with a keen ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Ability to work independently and as an active member of a team; in tandem with a RSM running point
- High school degree or equivalent followed by 2+ years experience in outbound call center, inside sales experience, or related sales experience during which you gained knowledge of sales process from initiation to close
- 2+ years experience within an OPE SMB(Small Medium Business) store environment is a plus; OEM or lending institution serving Outdoor Power Business and/or experience within an OEM Organization/experience within other captive platforms a plus.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), The G-suite of productivity tools (docs, spreadsheets, etc) and Salesforce experience preferred
