Role Statement

Support Outside Sales members by managing the sales process, preparing, and coordinating all quotes and sales orders to provide an exceptional customer experience.

Location

This position will be performed onsite at our store. Remote work is not available for this role.

Outcomes for Success

  • Provide direct support to the sales reps in providing exceptional customer service to dedicated accounts.
  • Prepare and process all quotes, purchase orders, tickets, changes, etc. while following Quote Management Guidelines.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring their needs are met and concerns are addressed promptly.
  • Verify product cost with Vendors on all special-order products.
  • Process Purchase Orders for special-order products and verify product receipt at store level.
  • Track incoming orders and schedule job site deliveries or coordinate in-store pickup.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
  • Maintain current customer base and increase wallet share.
  • Assist with customer challenges, such as credits, returns, exchanges, and service problems.
  • Keep track of customers and their current projects. Assist salesperson with opening of new job accounts and closing finished jobs.
  • Working knowledge of all products we can supply to customers.
  • Working knowledge of how to read blueprints.
  • Basic understanding of construction methods.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum education of High School or equivalent.
  • A minimum of three years of professional experience in customer service and order entry, ideally gained in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
  • Must be able to work as a team and communicate effectively.
  • Proven ability to multitask effectively and manage a large volume of detailed work while consistently producing accurate results.
  • Must have knowledge of blueprint reading.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and Point of Sale Programs.

Physical Requirements

  • This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required.
  • This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, bending, or standing on a stool as necessary.
  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally
  • Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

Wages

Starting wages will be based on years of experience and education.
