Sales Support Representative

Sales Support Representative (SSR) will work with our Sales Leadership Team and Area Business Directors in supporting and supplementing our field-based sales efforts as well as managing your own sales opportunities and accounts. Responsibilities

  • Work directly with Zone Director and Area Business Directors to achieve sales objectives.
  • Work in a hybrid outside sales and inside sales remote environment.
  • Engage offices and customers utilizing effective sales skills via phone, email, and video conferencing and live meetings in compliance with all company policies and industry regulations.
  • Build an expertise on all product related matters.
  • Focus on accountability collaboration compliance and teamwork to deliver favorable results to customers, patients, and Ardelyx.
  • Collaborate with ABD team and Zone Director to develop sales strategies to maximize sales productivity, follow-through and results.
  • Collaborate and align with SSR colleagues across the Sales organization as well as personnel from Market Access, Patient & Hub Services, Medical Affairs, and Marketing to facilitate best practices and idea exchanges to drive sales and patient advocacy objectives.
  • Master clinical data, disease state knowledge, competitive product landscape, and market access information to drive relevant messaging with decision-makers and influencers.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings, team conference calls, and on-going training sessions.
  • Manage out-bound and in-bound sales opportunities and customer needs.
  • Research new sales opportunities using company provided tools and resources.
  • Update and manage CRM with detailed and accurate information.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data and market conditions to identify opportunities and competitive advantages.
  • Ensure activities comply with laws, regulations, and Ardelyx compliance policies.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of inside or outside sales experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry preferred or a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in nephrology/dialysis center with previous sales experience.
  • Proven sales experience, prior healthcare, biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences experience preferred but not required.
  • Proven track record of documented sales success- consistent track record of achieving and/or outperforming sales goals.
  • Ability to master product information effectively represent product and information to customers.
  • Ability to understand/develop and implement sales strategies and tactics.
  • Demonstrated experience in competitive markets.
  • Ability to engage customers with keen focus on their needs and experiences.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Possesses integrity, work with honesty, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft product suite & CRM systems preferred.
  • Ability to apply videoconferencing and other digital technologies to optimize interactions with customers.
  • An understanding of the laws and regulations applicable to sales and marketing of pharmaceutical products to physicians and healthcare organizations not required, but preferred.
  • Demonstrate strong drive, initiative, and willingness to work with a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate and communicate technical/scientific concepts.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Work Environment

  • This position reports to one of four Zone Directors.
  • This position is field based with partial remote home office responsibilities.
  • This position may require up to 60-70% travel for customer visits, company meetings, conferences (dependent on area geography/size).

The anticipated annualized base pay range for this full-time position is $84,690 to $103,510. Ardelyx utilizes industry data to ensure that our compensation is competitive and aligned with our industry peers. Actual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include an annual bonus target and equity awards, subject to eligibility and other requirements.
