Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to adapt and implement sales support strategy using specific technical capability for the designated area in line with the global support strategy and focus on supporting configuration and quotation requirements. Each day, you will oversee estimations, bids, and proposals, ensuring alignment with ABB standards and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring that inputs for editing activities related to bid, estimate, and quotation preparation are provided in a timely manner and in accordance with the established quality procedures.
The work model for the role is: {onsite}
This role is contributing to the {MV Primary Switchgear} in {Xiamen, China}. Main stakeholders are {ELDS}.
You will be mainly accountable for:•             Reviews customer technical request. Formulates competitive bids, estimates, and quotations by considering the best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial aspects for each situation.

•             Identifies potential risks in the bids. Clarify, negotiates, comments or deviates customer requirement and supports sales to discuss with customers and optimize proposal/configuration.

•             Calculates costing and figures out pricing during tender stage. Creates well-documented tenders in a timely manner.

•             Ensures that inputs for editing activities related to bid, estimate, and quotation preparation are provided in a timely manner and in accordance with the established quality procedures.

•             Collects and archives documentation regarding the offer/order and records assumptions and decisions made during development.

•             Supports order releasing, handing over after order received. Supports contract variation process during project execution stage.

•             Build up team competence as well as team culture that meets business growth.

Qualifications for the role

•             Bachelor’s degree or above, major in Electric or Automation related.

•             > 8 years’ working experience in the industry of medium voltage products, be familiar with MV products and systems.

•             More than 5 years’ experience in technical support, engineering design, project management, product management, service, or market/Sales development.

•             More than 3 years’ experience in team management. 

•             Familiar with protection and communication protocol.

•             Familiar with electrical power systems and switchgear is an advantage.        

•             Good oral and written English.

•             Self-motivation and good time management, be able to manage the tender timetable.

•             Systematic thinking and result driven.

•             A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, good teamwork and strong communication skills.
