The Sales Specialist (Medical) is responsible for This role is responsible for driving business growth by managing key customer relationships, ensuring regulatory‑compliant product adoption, and supporting critical clinical applications. The position has a direct impact on revenue, customer satisfaction, and patient safety by aligning medical solutions with healthcare and organizational needs.
This position reports to the India Medical Leader and is part of the Medical Department – Sales Specialist organization. The role is based in Mumbai/Ahmedabad and will be working remotely to cover the entire Western India region, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Chhattisgarh. What you will do:
- New business: Drive business expansion by targeting medical device manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, OEMs, and hospitals.Identify and develop new customer opportunities to build a strong and sustainable sales pipeline.
- Key Account Management: Manage and grow existing key accounts within the territory.
Strengthen relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers. Continuously introduce new products and solutions to increase share of business within existing accounts. - Develop and execute short-term and long-term tactical sales plans aligned with business objectives. Create and implement account plans to drive growth and improve market penetration. Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies to consistently achieve targets.
- Align with global strategy to commercialize Pall Medical differentiated product and/or strategic products in assigned markets as market opportunities presents.
- Gather market intelligence on competitor products and pricing, new investment within the region and potentials.
Who you are:
- At least 5–7 years of solid sales experience, preferably within the medical device manufacturing industry, along with experience in hospital consumables sales
- Educational qualification in Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, or BSc Nursing, with an MBA preferred
- Good understanding of processes within the medical device and hospital industry, including key business trends.
- Experience working with distributors and resellers in the medical market. Have some hands-on experience in Membrane related to liquid/gas filtration would be beneficial.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders. Ability to identify new opportunities, build pipelines, and drive business growth. Self-driven, results-oriented, and comfortable working in a target-driven environment
Travel Requirements:
- Ability to travel – 50% travel, overnight, within territory or locations
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- It would be a significant advantage if you have prior experience working in critical care environments such as Intensive Care Units (ICUs) and Anaesthesia, with a strong understanding of clinical workflows, infection control practices, and product usage in high-dependency settings
- Exposure to Medical OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) is highly desirable, including experience in engaging with technical teams, understanding component-level requirements, and supporting customized or integrated solutions
- Familiarity with clinical decision-making processes and hospital procurement practices in these segments will further enhance your ability to drive effective customer engagement and business growth
