The Sales Specialist NGS (d/f/m) is responsible for supporting the promotion and sales of IDT’s NGS products in collaboration with the Territory Sales Managers of the Region. This role requires strategic and consistent delivery of customer support and satisfaction, while managing and driving customer consultations and partnerships within the assigned region in collaboration with the Territory Sales Managers to achieve profit and revenue growth goals by converting and supporting potential/existing customers, find and/or develop market segments for NGS products. 

The Sales Specialist NGS (d/f/m) is part of the Central Europe Sales Team and will be fully remote. At IDT, we are one global team. We celebrate our differences, engage in healthy debates, and are inclusive. Together, we accomplish great things.
 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Partner with Territory Sales Managers (TSMs) to identify, prioritize, and advance NGS opportunities across the region, while independently creating momentum through proactive customer engagement, lead qualification, proposal development, and objection handling.

  • Serve as the commercial bridge between scientific interest and purchasing decisions, helping TSMs progress complex opportunities while also engaging key stakeholders directly to accelerate decisions and remove barriers.

  • Map regional market potential, identify growth segments and whitespace accounts, and lead the development of an effective business plan and sales strategy to expand IDT’s NGS business.

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers and decision-makers, leveraging internal resources when needed to increase customer value, strengthen positioning, and improve win rates.

  • Develop customer relationships by understanding short- and long-term scientific and business needs, positioning IDT’s NGS products and services effectively, and driving sustainable pipeline growth in partnership with the field sales team.

 

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a life science field

  • A minimum of 7 years of prior sales experience in life science reagents/consumables with applications experience in NGS

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

  • Experience in prospecting, territory management, lead management, negotiation and closing

  • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels of customers

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, primarily across Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands, with additional travel to Poland and Austria.

 

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Previous laboratory experience

  • Prior sales management or key account management experience

  • Strong written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically, minimum 50% of the time
