Located in Brisbane (QLD, Adelaide (SA) or Perth (WA), working across the Australia and New Zealand region.

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting a Sales Specialist to join the Metals and Minerals business within the Analytical Instrumentation Group. You will join a team passionate about bringing a new generation of fit-for-purpose process analysers to the market. In this role, you will work with an outstanding team in an innovative and international working environment serving the ANZ metals and mining market. Together we will deliver an outstanding sales experience for our customers!

What You'll Do:
  • Own all sales account management responsibilities of the Thermo Fisher Scientific analysis and inspection solutions for metals, mining to all sites across ANZ.

  • Support the execution of the sales/tender process to improve sales and meet sales target commitments.

  • Collaborate with the global Minerals team, prospecting for new business, qualify sales leads, and generate a strong opportunity funnel for the ANZ region.

  • Continually advance opportunities to close business.

  • Develop territory business plan and update according to business and market changes. Provide accurate booking forecasts and reporting on a monthly/quarterly basis.

  • Work with engineering to confirm system configurations, specifications and acceptance conditions are appropriate for closing orders.

  • Collect and share industry insights and competitor movements.

  • Bookings & revenue versus plan.

  • Forecast accuracy.

  • Pipeline growth and demand generation.

Keys to Success:Education
  • Engineering or bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

Experience
  • Background in metallurgy, minerals and or mining desired.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge and ability to present to others in a clear and concise manner.

  • Excellent oral / written communication and presentation skills in English are a necessity.

  • Ability to work within a diverse, cross-functional team across multiple sites.

  • Highly motivated team member with strong listening skills to effectively interact and communicate globally with internal colleagues (technical and business teams) and customers.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment
  • Ability to travel to customer sites and industry events, up to 50%.
