Position Overview
The Rhumbix Sales Specialist drives new business and revenue growth for Rhumbix, an Autodesk company, across defined market and industry segments and Autodesk sales channels. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and advancing new sales opportunities through direct prospecting, collaboration with the broader Autodesk sales organization, and Autodesk channel partners.
The Sales Specialist will carry a sales quota and be accountable for meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual revenue targets. Success will come from generating new business, expanding relationships with existing customers, and effectively positioning Rhumbix within Autodesk's broader construction portfolio.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales strategies to grow Rhumbix revenue across assigned markets, industry segments, and territories
Prospect and develop new business through outbound calling, targeted campaigns, and other demand-generation activities. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential
Manage inbound sales opportunities while identifying opportunities to cross-sell and expand Rhumbix within existing Autodesk customer accounts
Develop a strong understanding of Rhumbix products, workflows, and customer use cases in order to articulate business value, qualify prospective customers, and conduct effective product demonstrations
Build relationships with construction professionals and understand their operational challenges to effectively position Rhumbix solutions and demonstrate measurable customer value
Maintain accurate and timely records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities in Salesforce
Manage Salesforce opportunities according to established sales stages and probability definitions to maintain pipeline visibility and forecasting accuracy
Deliver accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts for Rhumbix business within the assigned territory
Build strong working relationships with Autodesk sales teams and other internal stakeholders to identify accounts, develop opportunities, and execute coordinated account strategies
Respond to prospective customers, existing customers, partners, and internal Autodesk stakeholders in a professional and timely manner
Drive both direct and Autodesk-assisted sales opportunities to build, maintain, and grow a healthy pipeline within the assigned territory
Collaborate with Autodesk's broader construction sales organization to identify opportunities where Rhumbix can complement existing Autodesk Construction Cloud solutions and expand customer value
Minimum Qualifications
2+ years of relevant professional experience in construction, construction technology, customer-facing technology, solution consulting, technical sales, or a related field
Foundational understanding of commercial construction operations and project workflows, with exposure to areas such as field operations, labor management, timekeeping, productivity, cost management, project controls, or field data collection
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to learn complex workflows and technology concepts and explain them clearly to different audiences
Demonstrated curiosity and problem-solving ability, including an interest in understanding customer challenges and connecting them to potential solutions
Ability to organize information and develop clear, compelling presentations or stories that communicate a problem, solution, and business value
Ability to collaborate effectively with Account Executives and other customer-facing teams, serving as a solution and industry resource throughout customer engagements
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple customer engagements and priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Willingness and ability to rapidly develop expertise in Rhumbix solutions, construction workflows, and the broader construction technology landscape
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working for or with a general contractor, specialty contractor, construction manager, or other construction industry organization
Hands-on exposure to construction field or project operations through roles such as Project Engineer, Field Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, Project Coordinator, Project Controls Specialist, or similar positions
Familiarity with construction workflows involving labor tracking, timekeeping, field data capture, productivity, cost management, project controls, or related processes
Experience presenting information, demonstrating technology, training users, facilitating meetings, or communicating recommendations to customers or internal stakeholders
Experience with construction technology, SaaS solutions, or digital transformation initiatives
Familiarity with Rhumbix, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or other construction technology platforms
Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or similar customer and opportunity management tools
