Job Description

Who will you be working with?

The Sales Specialist is a member of ANI Sales and Applications team, with the key focus to support and grow the adoption of X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) technology. This role combines technical expertise with customer engagement, working closely with customers to implement analytical solutions for materials characterization, elemental analysis and quality control applications. The ideal candidate enjoys understanding customer applications, explaining analytical techniques and recommending the right solutions for the right users.

You’ll be working closely with Service, Supply Chain, Finance, and regional and global technical teams to deliver expert analytical solutions and drive customer success across the XRF portfolio.

In this role, you will serve as a sales specialist for XRF instruments, supporting customers through technical presentations, product demonstrations, and application discussions. You will help customers understand their analytical requirements and recommend suitable solutions, while contributing to business development and market growth for the ANI portfolio in Singapore and the region.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Serve as a technical sales specialist for XRF instruments, supporting customers in understanding capabilities and applications.
  • Conduct technical and commercial presentations, product demonstrations and application discussions with customers.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their analytical requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Support customers with technical enquiries related to applications and drive commercial discussions with important stakeholders.
  • Maintain regular communication with existing customers and prospective users to support both technical and commercial discussions.
  • Assist customers through the evaluation, demonstration and implementation stages of the sales cycle.
  • Support customer training and knowledge transfer when required.
  • Contribute to business development activities by identifying new application areas and market opportunities.
  • Generate and manage customer enquiries and opportunities related to ANI products.
  • Participate in technical seminars, exhibitions and industry events to promote analytical solutions.
  • Work closely with Service, Supply Chain, Finance, and regional teams to support customer requirements and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Provide feedback from customers to help improve product sales positioning and application development.
  • Collaborate with regional product specialists and global technical teams to support advanced customer applications and technical requirements.
  • Regional travel may be required (approximately 25%) to support customer engagement and technical activities.

Qualifications

What do we want to know about you?

Experience:

  • 1–3 years of experience in a technical, application, or sales role, preferably in analytical instrumentation or industrial equipment.
  • Candidates with experience in laboratory instruments, materials analysis or scientific equipment will have an advantage.

Educational Background:

Degree in one of the following fields:

  • Chemistry
  • Materials Science / Materials Engineering
  • Analytical Science
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Or other relevant scientific disciplines.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Interest in analytical instrumentation and materials characterization techniques.
  • Understanding of materials analysis techniques such as XRF, XRD, OES, SEM or related analytical methods is an advantage.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to customers.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Proactive and customer-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple customer interactions and projects.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce is an advantage.
