The Sales Representative is responsible for generating revenue by promoting and selling the company's products or services to prospective and existing customers. This role involves identifying customer needs, recommending appropriate products or services, and closing sales. The Sales Representative is also tasked with maintaining customer relationships and providing excellent customer service.
Essential Functions
- Obtain customer and project information, such as tender date, project location, schedules, bidders, volumes, etc.
- Target and acquire new business relationships and accounts while maintaining and strengthening existing customer relationships
- Be a resource for product, process and technical knowledge
- Collect and disseminate market intelligence and make adjustments to strategy as appropriate
- Coordinate and update sales forecasts and budgets, ensuring overall accuracy
- Collaborate and communicate with plant operations to ensure smooth production and customer experience
- Guide and coordinate with Heritage Research Group on efforts relevant to market and customer needs
- Participate in and create relationships with regional and national industry organizations, as appropriate
- Represent the compnay at industry functions, build relationships with industry leaders, and grow your knowledge through various functions
- Support and assist with projects in the field and at plant facilities as necessary
- Mentor and develop employees within the organization
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
Experience Qualifications
- Preferred 5+ years relevant work experience in sales and experience with asphalt, chemicals or other related products

- Ability to hold themselves to high standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Economic analysis, budgeting and strong financial management aimed at established measures
- Demonstrated creative thinking and problem solving
- Strong commitment combined with demonstrated ability to build relationships and teamwork

Licenses and Certifications
- Valid driver's license is required
