Are you an authentic relationship builder who gets energy from guiding, advising and growing customers? Then this role at Royal Canin is your chance to make an impact in a consultative selling environment where quality, trust and animal welfare are central.
🌟Why this role is special
Working at Royal Canin means contributing to the well-being of cats and dogs with a premium brand that is the global leader in health food. In this position, you will develop and manage your own district. You don't focus on quick deals, but on sustainable partnerships with veterinary practices — based on knowledge, advice and mutual trust.
Do you get energy from autonomy within a strong brand, building loyal customer relationships and achieving commercial objectives through real collaboration? Then you will fit perfectly into our team.
💼What will you do?
In the role of Sales Representative, you will be responsible for increasing Royal Canin's market share and brand value within your region. You do this by:
- Building and maintaining strong, sustainable partnerships with veterinary practices.
- Consultative selling: you advise customers based on knowledge, data and needs, thinking in terms of solutions instead of quick sales.
- Analyzing client potential and developing growth plans per practice.
- Guiding customers in assortment choices, customer communication and brand activations.
- Sharing customer insights with internal teams such as Marketing, Customer Service and Supply to achieve the best customer experience together. You are on the road a lot, build trust and create value for both the customer and the animal.
✅Who are we looking for?
A driven, empathetic professional with an eye for relationship and results.
You also bring:
- 2–3 years of commercial experience, preferably in a consultative selling role.
- A natural aptitude to gain trust and deepen relationships.
- A structured and analytical way of working: you see opportunities and know how to convert them into concrete actions.
- Passion for cats and dogs — and the ambition to contribute to their health.
- Living in or close to your district.
- Experience in the veterinary industry is a nice plus, but not a hard requirement.
🌍What we offer
- A competitive salary and an attractive benefits package, including a company bonus.
- A personal development plan with structural coaching and training.
- Career opportunities to various positions at the head office (at both Royal Canin and Mars).
- A lease car that can also be used privately (addition applies).
- In addition, you will receive a laptop, iPad and iPhone.
Skills Required
- 2-3 years of commercial experience, preferably in consultative selling
- Ability to build trust and deepen customer relationships
- Structured and analytical approach to identifying opportunities and converting them into actions
- Passion for cats and dogs and ambition to contribute to their health
- Residence in or close to the assigned district
- Experience in the veterinary industry
