Key responsibilities for this role include:
Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual territory sales objectives through the management of external (Specialists, GP accounts, retail/hospital pharmacy/key accounts) and internal stakeholders (Marketing/Finance/Sales).
Generate and manage sales to assigned targets.
Identify new business opportunities and seek competitive market intelligence in order to maximize growth potential.
Achieve annual sales revenue targets and market share for a designated territory.
Optimally manage territory budgets.
Deliver the marketing message consistently in a variety of settings using clear and concise communication to designated customers.
Strategically execute the territory business plan, achieving the objectives for live and/or virtual CME, and Group Sell Activities for each promoted brand product
Complete administrative duties including timely and accurate expense reporting, training and adherence to corporate compliance regulations, updating target physician lists, and fulfilling legal requirements for speaker compensation at continuing education programs.
Record daily call activity in company CRM – Veeva.
Develop strong relationships with Key Physicians, Gatekeepers, Pharmacists, Nurse Practitioners and Nutritionists.
Develop speakers and Key Opinion Leaders and work with Teaching Hospitals Medical students.
Occasional evening and weekend work is required
Recognize and report adverse events (AEs) and product quality complaints (PQCs) in line with Viatris’ prescribed procedures and timelines.
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing both French and English is required (Quebec positions only)
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) required. A minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience is preferred. Related experience and/or education may be considered.
Basic CCPE course completion is required.
Previous specialty/ hospital sales experience, GP sales experience is an asset
Demonstrated understanding and of pharmaceutical industry and of government regulations, restrictions and formulary policies is required.
Previous experience and knowledge in managing a large geographic territory, planning, and maintaining a call cycle is required.
Sales experience in the areas of CV, CNS and immunology is preferred.
Strong customer service, negotiation, time management, organizational, and analytical skills.
Entrepreneurial with strong quantitative and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in MS Office Salesforce.com/Veeva.
Familiar with videoconferencing/ virtual technology (i.e. Zoom; Microsoft Teams).
Proactive, goal-oriented, and proven team player who can work independently and with a team to achieve objectives.
Flexible and adaptable to ever-changing environments.
Business travel dependent on location of customers and territory size; occasional evening and weekend work is required.
