Nursery Sales Representative- Seasonal Color

 Full Time Position: Monday-Friday 7:30am-5pm (Weekends will vary during peak season)

Bachman’s Nursery Operations has an opening for an experienced Sales Representative who demonstrates strong written, verbal, and persuasive communication skill.

Position Duties:

• Sell nursery wholesale products and conduct related sales & customer service activities in a highly professional manner, including: 
  • Receive, book, and acknowledge called-in orders
  • Solicit wholesale orders via telephone and/or in-person, advertise promotions, specials, etc. 
  • Invite and arrange nursery tours and meetings with wholesale customers and new leads. 
  • Effectively complete and submit bid requests and other necessary paperwork in a timely manner. 
  • Represent Bachman's at trade shows and other sales promoting activities, sometimes requiring overnight travel. 
  • Provide work direction to staff in overall sales/marketing effort. 
  • Employ Bachman's Core Values for customer service. 
  • Perform other duties as directed. 

Qualifications:

• 2 or 4 year degree in Horticulture or related field and minimum of 4 years of experience. 
• Specialized knowledge of seasonal plant material- annuals, bulbs, tropicals, winter accents, as well as general knowledge of wood deciduous, evergreen and perennials. 
• Exceptional written and verbal communications skills required. 
• Must have good interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and a demonstrated ability to work as a team player. 
• Must be able to work independently. 
• Strove drive for achievement, sales performance, and strong, effective customer service required. 
• Ability to recognize and identify pest and disease problems. 
• MNLA Certified Professional credentials preferred.
