Your Job: 
The Sales Representative, Norway is responsible for driving Brooks product sales revenue and margin within their respective territory.  You manage all aspects of Brooks’ sales of footwear, apparel and accessories including sell-in and sell-through and define sales goals and marketing strategies for Norway.  You will also lead and execute the field support strategy to increase market share, amplify Brooks’ product leadership, and create recognition, awareness and loyalty for the brand.  

Your Responsibilities:

  • Meet yearly revenue plans for footwear, apparel and accessories for your assigned territory.
  • Identify market potential for current database to increase number of accounts accordingly in the upcoming seasons.
  • Enter all future booking orders through Brooks’ proprietary web-based tools, ensure the at once order flow during the season.
  • Be the expert on your territory, provide field feedback on competitor’s products, program and services as well as marketplace activities.
  • Work with territory accounts to forecast, develop and implement yearly plans around their footwear and apparel needs in order to grow Brooks’ market share.
  • Provide analysis and feedback on sell-through & market share data both to Brooks’ business and retailers.
  • Collaborate with Scandinavia Marketing to develop and implement full year marketing plans to grow revenue, brand awareness and market share.
  • Manage and support the retailers and ensure alignment on revenue and marketing plans for the territory.
  • Lead the overall field support efforts for Brooks at both Specialty Running Accounts (SRA) and Non-Specialty accounts located within the territory: product launches, in-store merchandising, and innovative grassroots programs at all accounts.
  • Educate and motivate the retailer, consumer, and all key points of contact about Brooks technology and product leadership via product seminars, clinics and events.
  • Provide field feedback on competitor’s products, program and services as well as marketplace activities; identify new opportunities for growth within or outside the running industry.
  • Work with territory accounts to forecast, develop and implement yearly plans around their footwear and apparel needs in order to grow Brooks’ market share.
  • Be the eyes and ears of the brand and communicate our brand positioning, competitors, and potential competitor’s activity. It is essential to work closely with your respective Sales Manager to highlight any issues/challenges/ successes.
  • Represent Brooks at running events, fairs and expos (for example Park Run) including branding, set-up, breakdown, distribution of collateral, interaction with consumers, shoe count and product trial.
  • Maintain appearance of leased company vehicle and all Brooks equipment.
  • Travel required to tradeshows, bi-annual sales meetings, expos and Brooks offsite meetings.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Management, Marketing or related field desirable
  • 3+ years’ footwear and apparel sales experience.
  • Specialty retail (running) experience of at least one year required. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Norwegian and business English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company.
  • Keen attention to detail in planning, organization and execution of tasks, while still seeing the big picture and understanding how all of the pieces fit together and affect one another.
  • Demonstration of innovation and initiative – always looking at improving our products and processes while also displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help out wherever necessary.
  • Knowledge of performance athletic footwear/apparel/accessories and their related technologies.
  • Knowledge of the biomechanics of human motion; understanding of injury prevention basics
  • 70% travel is required.
  • General computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products - Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to listen and understand customer needs.
  • Ability to provide analysis and feedback on sell through both to Brooks’ corporate and accounts.
