Sales Representative - East Coast
Hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday thru Friday
The Sales Representative must be able to demonstrate a high level of skill in building a sales pipeline through continuous, ongoing contact with existing accounts and prospecting for new customers, preferably with multiple locations. A proven track record in prospecting—via dials, emails, and participation in various industry groups is required. Qualified candidates must demonstrate the ability to see the sales cycle through from prospecting to close, be entrepreneurial-minded, and be a ‘strategic thinker’ that is able to provide the best product solution possible for clients. The employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage sales responsibilities to consistently meet or exceed sales performance targets, annual or otherwise, assigned by leadership.
- Maintain CRM database to track sales activity, pipeline progress, and customer communications
- Actively promote all the Building Product Lines to distributors, retailers, and end-users to aggressively increase awareness of the Brentwood name and company capabilities.
- Develop new business while applying full-cycle methodologies and tools including, identification, qualification, positioning, competitive analysis, and closing timelines.
- Manage and grow existing accounts using exceptional sales and relationship building skills.
- Ability to dig deep and uncover the goals of an organization and fully explain how our products might be able to help them achieve those goals.
- Involvement in the relevant community, trade, and professional organizations.
- Maintain a positive work attitude, strong work ethic, and embrace a team-centric environment.
- Other responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
Essential Skills:
- Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Shown success in developing new business and generating sales leads.
- Strong presentation and communication skills with a consultative selling approach.
- Ability to influence decision makers at all levels of an organization, from a CEO to a front office professional.
- Ability to understand customer needs, define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and present solutions.
- Ability to write, effectively prepare and present information to customers, end users, and leadership.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in diagrams.
- Must be able to travel within the US as needed for company business purposes (roughly 25%)
