Hours for this job are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 5 pm and a Saturday rotation from 7:30 am until noon

Starting wage range is $50,000 base salary plus commission


The Ag Sales Representative is responsible for account management within a defined territory and customer base.  Maintains business relationship with customers, identifying their business needs and identifying solutions to meet their needs.  Generates new sales opportunities within assigned territory.  Primarily focused on agricultural or commercial equipment, but also provides support and generates sales for all equipment lines as needed.

Essential Functions:

  1. Provides top notch customer service through active account management within an assigned territory and customer base. 
  2. Acts as a strategic business partner to customers, being a trusted advisor when it comes to making informed purchasing decisions.
  3. Conducts customer site visits on a routine basis to develop relationships, become knowledgeable in customer operations, identify business needs, and continually deliver solutions and value to strengthen customer loyalty.
  4. Generates sales opportunities through following a consistent sales process.
  5. Documents significant customer contacts in the company’s CRM system.
  6. Quickly follows-up on customer questions and pursues all opportunities through to an outcome.  Documents outcomes in CRM system.
  7. Assures customer receives proper instruction, warranty information, operating manuals and anything else needed upon receipt of their equipment.  May participate in the training of customers’ employees as needed.
  8. Acts as a communication liaison on behalf of the customer, to the dealership, in getting questions and concerns addressed quickly.  Acts with a high sense of urgency when communicating with customers, particularly if/when customer concerns arise.
  9. Coordinates with others at the dealership to ensure all deliverables meet customer expectations.  Brings Product Specialists and other staff into discussions when their expertise is needed.
  10. Remains up-to-date on incentives, programs, problem solutions, market trends and other ways to provide customers with the best possible value.
  11. Maintains up-to-date product knowledge through attending training, new product intro events, clinics, and other learning opportunities.
  12. Maintains work area and vehicles (as assigned) in a clean, neat and safe manner.
Qualifications
  1. Exceptional communication and customer service skills required.
  2. Top notch selling and follow-up skills required.
  3. Ability to use a computer and current software to complete job duties required.
  4. Must have a valid driver's license and insurable diving history.
  5. Previous experience in the agricultural industry preferred.
