JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Cars Commerce Revenue Strategy and Operations (RSO) team is looking for a Sales Reporting Analyst to help transform how we measure and communicate business performance across our Go-To-Market organization. This role will be responsible for partnering with stakeholders across sales and management to deliver clear, timely, and actionable insights through reports and dashboards. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker with strong data visualization skills and a keen eye for detail, capable of turning complex data into clear, compelling narratives that drive strategic decisions.
As a Sales Reporting Analyst, you will play a key role in optimizing how performance metrics are displayed and consumed, ensuring that our sales teams have the information they need to positively impact the bottom line. You must be a highly motivated, organized self-starter who can manage multiple priorities, adapt quickly to changing business needs, and work collaboratively across teams. This position requires excellent communication skills, a deep commitment to data accuracy, and the ability to produce professional, insightful analysis that can be acted on immediately.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain reliable, single-source data sources that provide up-to-date and impactful insights for business partners.
Create tools and processes for ongoing measurement and socialization of business results.
Run, interpret, and share sales performance results with business partners throughout the organization; this may include standardized reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis from a variety of inputs using multiple output methods (Excel, Word, PPT, SalesForce, Tableau among others)
Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, from frontline teams to senior leadership.
Collaborate with parallel teams on large, complex projects involving multiple inputs, ensuring alignment and accountability across all stakeholders.
Serve as a trusted advisor on business performance and subject matter expert on revenue processes, providing senior leadership with clear insights to guide strategic decisions
Coach and model exemplary behavior for fellow team members
Maintain strict quality control to ensure accurate, timely reporting while identifying and addressing data issues.
Develop a detailed working knowledge of all team projects and priorities; serve as backup for any teammate
Basic Qualifications:
A four-year college degree is required, preferably in business, or equivalent real-world business experience
Minimum two years analysis & reporting experience supporting GTM Teams around functions such as variable compensation, sales forecasting, quota setting, market segmentation, business development, and GTM strategy.
Intermediate + Advanced in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint (or Google Slides).
Experience building reports and dashboards in Salesforce (or related CRM software)
Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills - experience building deep, trust-based relationships with business and cross-functional partners
Proven ability to define, refine, and implement sales processes, procedures, and policies to enhance operational efficiency. Pre-employment test and/or presentation may be required.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable recommendations, reports, and presentations.
Demonstrated history of self-learning and intellectual curiosity, with a proactive approach to developing new skills and improving processes.
Proven track record of taking ownership, leading with data, diving deep without losing sight of the big picture
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a high-growth B2B company, with bonus points for Sales Operations or Revenue Operations team experience.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in building reports and dashboards using Tableau.
Intermediate knowledge of SQL, particularly in querying large datasets and analyzing trends.
Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, with hands-on Salesforce Administration experience (ADM-201/202 certification or equivalent a plus).
Proven ability to present insights and analysis regularly to senior leadership, supporting data-driven strategic decision-making.
