Position: Sales Promoter/Sales Associate
Reports To: Hardware Sales Supervisor
Education: 3 CXC Passes including English Language and Mathematics
Geographical Location: Ocho Rios, Runaway Bay

- DUTIES:
- To promote the Company’s image, demonstrate and provide information on our products in the Decorative, Automotive and Industrial line and lead customers to use them.
- The ability to mix and tint paint.
- Coordinate information for the Color Studio for the supply of Color Chips.
- To inform the relevant Sales Representative of customer request for items that are not available in the Hardware.
- Assist customers by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
- Identify interest and understand customer needs and requirements.
- Source new sales opportunities via the distribution of brochures, flyers etc.
- Provide competitive feedback from the market that could have an impact on Sherwin-Williams.
- Set up promotional booths and stock products, where necessary.
- Ensure that courses in ONSET and HR Cloud are completed.
- Any other duties that may be assigned.

- Responsibilities
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
- Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services

- Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse

QualificationsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Employee is required to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. on occasion.
- Employee will spend approximately 20% of the day, 25% standing, 45% walking and 10% stooping, climbing and kneeling.
- Adhere to company’s safety rules and the wearing of PPE gears (Personal Protective Clothing).
- Flexibility to be reassigned to different company locations as the need arises.
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. on occasion.
- Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Have at least a High School diploma or GED, or passing grades in GCE / CXC CSEC (O'Levels) Math & English, or an equivalent academic qualification.
- If internal to Sherwin-Williams, you must have received at least a “meets expectations” (3) rating on your most recent performance appraisal
- If internal to Sherwin-Williams, you must have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for your current position
- Have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
- Have at least one (1) year experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
- Have previous work experience selling paint and paint related products
- Have previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
