Based in our Singapore office, we are seeking an experienced Sales Planning and Operations professional to support and optimize sales operations across the APAC Hollywood content distribution business.
This role will report to the Vice President of Sales Planning and Commercial Strategy and will partner closely with regional sales teams and sales planners to drive operational excellence, rights visibility, and scalable sales processes across multiple distribution platforms in APAC.
The ideal candidate will combine strong commercial operations expertise with excellent analytical capabilities and a solid understanding of media and content licensing workflows within the entertainment industry.
What you will do:
Sales Planning Operations Strategy
Lead and support strategic projects with the Vice President of Sales Planning and Commercial Strategy, APAC, to enhance Sales Planning Operations capabilities and improve operational efficiency.
Establish new processes, implement operational improvements, and ensure the APAC Sales Planning team adheres to best practices while sharing learnings with global SP&O teams.
Act as the primary point of contact with Home Office teams in Los Angeles to represent and drive APAC Sales Planning priorities.
Rights Management & Content Availability
Coordinate with Rights Management and Legal teams in Los Angeles to ensure accurate visibility into content availability and licensing restrictions.
Monitor windowing, territorial rights, holdbacks, exclusivity clauses, and content usage limitations.
Maintain operational oversight of content availability management and content lifecycle tracking.
Ensure metadata and sales systems accurately reflect rights and licensing information.
Deal Management and Administration
Support the end-to-end operational workflow from deal planning through contract execution and content delivery.
Review deal entries in systems across APAC, including rights entries, license fees, and payment terms, and approve sales orders for billing and revenue recognition purposes.
Track deal approvals, contract status, delivery milestones, and revenue recognition timelines.
Identify and mitigate operational risks related to rights conflicts, delivery delays, or report discrepancies.
Sales Systems & Process Transformation
Partner with Sales and Sales Planning teams across APAC offices to gather business requirements and support new ways of working related to systems and process transformation initiatives.
Support the implementation and optimization of internal contract management, rights management, and business intelligence systems.
Partner with the Home Office in Los Angeles and APAC Sales Planning teams to identify automation opportunities that improve operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Own the process for system enhancements within APAC, serving as the technical expert throughout all phases of requirements gathering, UAT, training, and implementation.
Training and Development
Own and maintain training and onboarding materials for Sales Planning processes and systems.
Serve as the lead trainer for new Sales Planners and provide ongoing refresher training to regional teams.
What you need:
Degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Typically a minimum of 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Sales or commercial operations
- Media distribution
- Accounting or auditing
- Internal controls management
- Information systems
- Business administration
Knowledge of information systems management, contract and rights management, business administration, or sales administration would be advantageous.
Strong drive to achieve results and foster a culture focused on continuous process improvement, operational efficiency, and accuracy.
Experience working within APAC regional functional teams.
Excellent computer skills, particularly in Excel (including Pivot Tables), Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred experience with Salesforce, Tableau/Power BP, Rightsline or similar rights management systems, SQL, advanced Excel, and AI-related software.
Strong communication and presentation skills with excellent verbal and written English proficiency.
Experience or understanding of the media and U.S. entertainment industry, particularly in programming sales, distribution, and the social medial landscape in Asia, would be advantage.
