Position Overview:
The Sales Planner position is responsible for weekly and ongoing sales reporting, working closely with Planning to ensure accurate forecasting, provide updated road maps as well as partner with Customer Allocation team and support any ADHOC request. This associate will be involved with VMI or vendor managed inventory and may need to provide direction to RMA in-store efforts.
Essential Role Functions:
- Works directly with the Assistant Buyers on item setups, promotional calendars, and monthly recap analysis.
- Works with Haggar Merch teams on all new item sets for customers.
- Coordinates and communicates with planning and customer allocation on weekly order flow
- Orders & coordinates samples to accounts for their internal meetings and ecom needs and other duties as assigned.
- Liaison between customer and Haggar RMA team leaders as needed.
- Build, prepare and analyze weekly sales reports, identify product trends and opportunities down to the color and size level, track test programs.
- Maintain roadmaps as an external selling tool, internal roadmap for product development and working document for RMA’s as needed.
- Analyze sales and stock levels to ensure that reorder recommendations made by the system reflect the sales trend
- Collects, analyzes, and interprets data from various sources in order to solve problems which require a professional level of knowledge. Creates relatively complex and robust reporting systems in excel.
- Work with Planning to learn Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) system, assist in the analysis and reporting.
- Manage and maintain inventory replenishment levels and stock models through effective allocation of inventory
- Monitors product availability and lead times
- Ensures stock is directed to stores in the right volumes at the right time to optimize profitability
- Keen attention to detail is needed
- Responsible for maintaining monthly WIP reports for UPL (PL) customers that requires knowledge of Logility system for accessing data.
- Performs complex and highly detailed work with accuracy and precision.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2+ years of experience in merchandising, textile & apparel management, and/or marketing & sales
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and workflow management skills and the ability to meet deadlines. Multi-tasking and attention to detail are critical for success.
- Highly skilled and practiced in both written and verbal communication and comfortable in presenting to both internal and external partner
