The Role
Rainfall Health is looking to hire a Partnerships Manager to join the Growth Team! This role will be responsible for developing and managing strategic partnerships with health systems, medical groups, and software companies. This role involves driving business growth for brand new partnerships, cultivating relationships with external stakeholders, negotiating agreements, and overseeing the implementation of partnership initiatives. This will work closely with internal teams to align partnership strategies with overall business goals and ensure successful collaboration with external partners.
Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership and Pipeline Development
Identify potential partners through cold outreach, news sources, conference/networking events
Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and partnership opportunities
Relationship Management
Create and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within relevant organizations
Comfortable presenting to C-level prospects both in-person and over video conferencing
Serve as the primary point of contact for partners and work in tandem with our Care Navigation team to address inquiries, concerns, and foster strong working relationships
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication with partners
Provide prospect and customer feedback to product teams and advocate for implementation as needed
Negotiation and Contract Management
Lead negotiations with potential partners
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and monitor the performance of the partnership.
Partnership Implementation
Oversee the execution of partnership initiatives, working with both internal and external teams to align on project timelines, goals for the partnership, and making adjustments as needed.
Partner Success
Work with new partners to develop KPIs to continually assess the impact of partnership
Work with internal teams to analyze partnership metrics and provide regular reports to internal stakeholders
Use data-driven insights to optimize partnerships strategies and drive continuous improvements
Travel Expectations
~30% travel expected
Attend conferences, coordinate onsite visits with new and established partners, and join all-hands retreats upon request.
4–7 years in partnerships, channel sales, or business development — preferably in health IT, digital health, or enterprise SaaS
Existing relationships with EHR vendors, health IT consultancies, or GPOs are a strong plus
Proven track record of building partner programs from early stages and hitting partner-sourced revenue targets
Strong negotiator with experience structuring referral, reseller, or co-sell agreements
Ability to navigate long, complex sales cycles involving clinical, IT, and executive stakeholders
Self-starter who can operate without a mature playbook and build structure in an ambiguous environment
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Proven experience in partnership identification, implementation, and management. Must be experienced in business development starting with building out a CRM, cold outreach, through contract negotiation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to develop and execute partnership strategies.
Proficiency in data analysis and performance tracking.
Familiarity and curiosity with healthcare industry markets
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
Experience in contract negotiation and management.
Background in value-based care or population health
Prior experience at a seed–Series B startup
Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare data regulations
MBA or clinical degree (MPH, MHA, etc.)
