The Opportunity

Team Liquid is looking for a Senior Sales & Partnerships Manager to manage and grow strategic partnerships with key clients, such as Alienware or Monster Energy. This role focuses on building long-term relationships with stakeholders, driving revenue growth, and ensuring the seamless execution of partnership deliverables.

Reporting directly to the Director of Sales & Partnerships, you will manage the complete lifecycle of assigned partnerships, from onboarding and project delivery through renewal planning. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, including Creative Services and Talent Management, to ensure alignment between partner objectives and internal goals.

A key focus of this role will be identifying upsell opportunities within existing partnerships, optimizing costs, and producing detailed performance reporting to demonstrate partnership value and impact. You will also contribute to the overall efficiency and innovation of the Sales & Partnerships department through strategic projects, process improvements, and mentorship of junior team members.

Location: Los Angeles, CA. Candidates must be available to work onsite at our office at least three days per week.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Account Management

    • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for client stakeholders, building trusted relationships across brand, product and marketing teams, as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.

    • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of assigned partnership deliverables, ensuring seamless execution against scope, timeline and quality standards.

    • Own revenue growth within existing partnerships through renewals and upsell opportunities, proactively identify and develop upsell opportunities within the account, and build the supporting business case.

    • Monitor and report COGS on assigned deliverables, maintaining target margin and flagging variance.

    • Produce partner-facing reporting that is clear and data-driven, demonstrating value in measurable terms — KPIs, engagement, media value and campaign outcomes.

    • Manage partner onboarding, compliance checks and accurate records of contracts, deliverables and financials.

    • Drive cross-functional collaboration with internal teams to ensure delivery against scope, timelines, and quality standards.

    • Monitor and manage Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), ensuring alignment with organizational financial targets and margin expectations.

  • Sales & Business Development

    • Create and pursue new sales opportunities from lead generation through to contract negotiation.

    • Build and maintain a personal book of business against an annual revenue contribution, including upsell opportunities for current clients as well as new business

    • Identify prospects using LinkedIn, SponsorUnited and comparable tools, and develop customised proposals aligned to partner objectives.

    • Maintain an accurate pipeline view, updated at least weekly, and contribute to forecasting.

    • Identify revenue opportunities across Team Liquid's platforms, including Liquid Media, Liquipedia and Talent.

    • Expand a network of clients, agencies, brands and creators, and represent Team Liquid at industry events.

    • Own the identification and development of revenue opportunities across Team Liquid's platforms, including Liquid Media, Liquipedia, and Talent, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.

  • Strategic Projects & Knowledge Sharing

    • Lead or contribute to initiatives that improve departmental efficiency, workflow and reporting.

    • Build strong cross-functional relationships to align on partnership objectives.

    • Share best practice with junior colleagues and contribute to the department's standards.

    • Support additional departmental and organizational priorities as needed, including contributing to process improvements and addressing ad hoc business needs.

What You'll Need:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in B2B sales and account management, preferably in media, sponsorships, or related fields.

  • Proven ability to manage partnerships, deliver on KPIs, and cultivate long-term relationships.

  • Proficiency in Google Suite, PowerPoint, and project management tools.

  • Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail.

  • Strong understanding of account management, including end-to-end deliverables execution and driving revenue growth.

  • AI fluency, with demonstrated ability to effectively use tools such as Gemini and Claude to enhance sales and partnership workflows, including research, analysis, strategic planning, presentations, and operational efficiency.

You’ll Earn Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience in the gaming industry or demonstrated passion for gaming.

  • Hands-on experience in partnership management or business development.

  • Advanced project management skills in digital environments.

  • An existing book of business or strong network of contacts with brands in the industry that can facilitate immediate value in partnership growth.

  • Demonstrated success in upselling or expanding partnership opportunities through strategic initiatives.

Salary Range (U.S.-based role):
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $80,000 – $100,000 + bonus opportunities.

Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, education, internal equity, and geographic location, where applicable and permitted by law.
