The Role
The Sales Optimization Manager provides thought leadership, strategic planning, and executional support to sales teams and leadership, ensuring the delivery of impactful, client-focused materials and approaches. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the Sales Optimization Manager oversees the sales proposal process, including authoring and editing client documents, contributing to strategic planning and managing a range of specialized projects. The role requires expertise in Inmar’s comprehensive suite of services, operating within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
The Sales Optimization Manager serves as a vital link between Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams, ensuring efficient workflows, data accuracy, and alignment with strategic goals. Exceptional organizational skills, innovation, cross-functional collaboration, and a strong understanding of Inmar’s product and service suite are essential for success.
The incumbent must be able to work from the Winston-Salem, NC office on a hybrid basis.

Primary Accountabilities: 

Strategic (30%)

  • Develop expertise in a focus area of Inmar's suite of products/solutions, including competitive intelligence, while maintaining a holistic understanding of all solutions.
  • Craft data-driven selling stories and pitches that are client specific, utilizing existing product marketing materials across verticals. Incorporate selling opportunities into the client business review process.
  • Consult with sellers on meeting goals, sales stage, client situation, and strategy; utilize product and material knowledge to curate and recommend sales materials.
  • Support strategic initiatives like 
  • Build strategic relationships with senior leadership, sales leaders, SME’s to support strategic initiatives such as top-to-top meetings, executive summaries, and campaigns.
  • Co-create and collaborate with sales, creative, and other teams to incorporate creative strategy
  • Promote collaboration, partnership, and relationships among stakeholders on all projects.
     

Project Management (30%)

  • Manage projects such as RFPs/RFIs, business reviews, custom presentations, and other sales deliverables ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Coordinate cross-functional deliverables
  • Demonstrate strong meeting facilitation skills, setting clear agenda and ensuring participant alignment on the next step.
  • Facilitate meetings with clear agendas, fostering alignment and ensuring actionable outcomes.
  • Oversee execution of government-related projects and intricate proposals, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, recommending best-in-class methodologies to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

Creative & Design (20%)

  • Design compelling sales presentations with impactful visualizations and business insights. Brainstorm client solution ideas that highlight/showcase Inmar products. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm and develop innovative solutions showcasing Inmar products and services.
  • Customize materials for client-specific needs, including flowcharts, pricing decks, and tour presentations.
  • Contribute to special creative projects, such as event materials and executive-level presentations incorporating a vision for design elements.
     

Leadership (10%)

  • Provide feedback on team deliverables, including special event support and strategic project initiatives.
  • Promote best practices and facilitate onboarding for new team members.
  • Assist manager with team training and development of programs and sharing of best practices.
     

Administrative (10%)

  • Support the maintenance and updating of a centralized repository of materials for easy access by team members.

Required Qualifications: 

  •  Bachelor’s Degree required 
  • 3-5 years of related work experience, or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the major responsibilities/essential functions of the position
  • Project Management experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with complex data visualization and insights development strongly preferred
  • Advanced experience working with the following software programs:    
    Google Suite
    Google Drive
  • Proficiency working with the following software programs:    
    Google Meet
    Microsoft PowerPoint
    Microsoft Excel
    Articulate
    Monday.com
    Salesforce CRM
  • Baseline knowledge working in, accessing raw-data file outputs
  • Demonstrated excellence in writing skills, with high attention to detail and emphasis on accuracy, data visualization, and insight development
