Brief Job Description:
Our company is searching for experienced candidates for the position of Estimating Administrator. Reporting to the Estimating Manager & Estimating Team Lead this position will present an excellent opportunity and will involve working closely with sales and the wider estimating team.
Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each:
(This will describe the overall core responsibilities of the role, decision making responsibilities etc.)
- Establish a partnership with each member of the Estimating team to maximize support structures to enhance the efficiency of the team unit.
- To be responsible for prioritizing and following through on material take offs at all stages and presenting such data in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Help and assist the Estimating team for sale quotations and act as a primary resource for managing calls and customer e-mails when required.
- Confirm and update orders on sales information and communicate to relevant departments.
- Complete any projects assigned by Estimating Team including but not limited to quotations, tap offs and administrator tasks
- Assist with estimating duties to include review of drawings and specifications, material take-off etc.
Qualifications:
Required/ Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years minimum exposure in a Sales / Quotation support role ideally within a Manufacturing/Engineering setting with experience gained in liaison with Contractors or Consulting Engineers.
Or
- Hold a related HND/Degree in Engineering/Business coupled with 1 year’s exposure in a Sales / Quotations support role, ideally within a Manufacturing/Engineering setting with experience gained in liaison with Contractors or Consulting Engineers.
Additional / Preferred Qualifications: -
- Efficiently organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Possess computer proficiency including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Display a proactive flexible approach to working within a team environment.
- Previous experience in an Electrical Contracting / Engineering/ Estimating background environment though preferable is not essential.

Skills Required
- Minimum 2 years exposure in a Sales/Quotation support role, ideally within a Manufacturing/Engineering setting
