Job Purpose: 

As Sales Operations Manager you will be responsible for driving operational activities within the Sales organization, with other responsibilities also impacting the commercial organization. This individual will manage and oversee both process and continual improvements to ensure the broader team can work with speed and agility needed to deliver against the local business unit and Sales organization strategies and goals.

Key Responsibilities: 

This role will provide YOU with the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR enterprise business understanding & acumen while implementing efficient Sales & related business operations via the delivery of processes that drive operational performance and high-quality output. 

 

The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for driving operational activities critical to the Sales organization, with other responsibilities also impacting the commercial organization. Nested within the Sales Strategy & Operations function, you will work closely with your Sales Strategy portfolio team, Display & Promotions Specialist, and other key partners to ensure business plans are executed and operations run smoothly. 

 

  • Lead, develop and implement sales & sales adjacent operations processes that enhance key stakeholder experiences by identifying ways to streamline, simplify, and oversee existing processes such as Display Management (Roster & Forecast Change), Pricing, Product Discontinuations, shorted dated inventory management, while maintaining governance rigour and mitigating risk. 
  • Collaborate with key cross-functional partners to seek feedback and maintain alignment on ways of working, roles & responsibilities to help guide operational excellence & inform needs to iterate processes. 
  • Maintain a library of relevant process documentation, and rollout process improvements or new processes where opportunities have been identified 
  • Subject-matter expert for Sales and other Commercial requirements acting as a pivotal point of contact for key processes, ensuring that all information requirements are met by stakeholders. 

 

 

Basic Qualifications 

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with concentration in Business or similar discipline. 
  • Minimum 5-7 years previous experience in a Commercial function including but not limited to Sales, Promotions, Trade Marketing, Marketing, Project Management, Supply Chain preferably in a CPG or Consumer Healthcare environment. 
  • Excellent communication skills with a flair for storytelling. 
  • Capable of motivating your stakeholders with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build connections and networks cross functionally. 
  • Ability to self-motivate, with the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. 
  • Excellent ability to partner with and influence senior enterprise stakeholders.  
  • Comfortable leading through ambiguity, with solutions-oriented mindset with a keen eye for simplification. 
  • Ability to aggressively prioritize core tasks with competing needs of the business in an evolving, fast-paced environment. 
  • Curious, data-driven with strong attention to detail, and is obsessed with continuous improvement to guide change management, and enable expansion of team capacity. 
  • Working knowledge of Canadian Retail environment and solid financial acumen. 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: 

  • Experience with project management, change management or process management and improvement.
