The Role

Job Description:

The Job/What You’ll Do:

The Sales Operations Analyst will deliver data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions across sales and marketing, driving organizational efficiency and effectiveness. This role focuses on targeting high-growth opportunities, improving sales processes, and proactively managing at-risk relationships.

We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our office location in Phoenix, AZ Chicago, IL, or Concord, CA.

Responsibilities:

Sales & Consulting Effectiveness:

  • Measure, systematize, and communicate growth rates, win rates, conversion rates, and realization rates across sales channels, territories, and sales teams
  • Provide both qualitative and quantitative insights tied to these metrics to inform decision-making

Customer Segmentation & Growth Analysis (Channel/Institutional/Enterprise/Individuals):

  • Conduct segmentation analysis to identify high-growth attributes and flag at-risk relationships
  • Measure share of business & market penetration trends to uncover expansion opportunities and refine targeting strategies
  • Use behavioral and demographic data to inform retention and growth-focused initiatives
  • Analyze sales/marketing journeys for prospects and existing customers to enhance lead scoring and recommend the next best actions

Territory & Capacity Planning:

  • Optimize territory coverage and capacity to ensure effective resource allocation
  • Develop territory models and recommend adjustments to support sales goals and maximize revenue

Forecasting & Pipeline Management:

  • Monitor pipeline health, identify growth opportunities, and create accurate sales forecasts based on historical and real-time data
  • Collaborate with sales management to refine forecasting processes and align pipeline strategies with growth targets

Campaign Performance & Product Adoption Analysis:

  • Track and analyze campaign metrics (ROI, engagement rates) to improve alignment with sales objectives
  • Measure adoption rates of new products, services, and capabilities, providing recommendations to drive engagement

Insights for Monthly Sales Executive Summary:

  • Deliver actionable insights and content focused on the key areas of growth, effectiveness, and sales engagement for executive leadership

Ad-Hoc Sales Operations Projects:

  • Support cross-functional projects and initiatives, providing data-driven recommendations that align with both organizational priorities & strategic goals

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Salesforce, Tableau, Power BI, Excel), with a focus on creating clear and impactful visuals
  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Expertise in sales forecasting, pipeline management, and territory planning
  • Knowledge of customer segmentation, campaign performance analysis, and wallet share growth
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage with sales management and senior leadership
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Adaptable problem-solving skills to meet evolving business needs

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data Science, or a related field
  • Experience with CRM platforms, preferably Salesforce CRM, including data management and reporting
  • 3+ years of experience in sales operations, revenue operations, business analysis, or a similar role
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a demonstrated ability to deliver innovative, data-driven solutions

Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $90,000-$110,000.

 

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
