Serpa Packaging Solutions is seeking a skilled Mechanical Drafter to join the Sales department team! The Mechanical Drafter will be responsible for supporting the Sales department in creating and updating floor plan drawings, customer plant layout drawings, flow drawings and maintaining department spreadsheets. May also support the Mechanical Engineering department with assembly drawings and technical part drawings, as well as Project Management with floor plan drawings and flow drawings.

Requirements:
- Learn and follow company procedure to produce detailed floor plan, customer plant layout, and flow drawings for Sales department, which includes mechanical and controls equipment.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations and use AutoCAD to prepare Sales engineering drawings.
- Under guidance, review completed drawings for accuracy, completeness, design practices, and standard applications.
- Resolve design problems and prepare variations of design when needed.
- Support drafting updates and offer flexibility to accommodate Sales team’s requests.
- Update department spreadsheets, which includes floor plan listings and sold jobs list
- May also support the Mechanical Engineering department with assembly drawings and technical part drawings"
Desired Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in a related field, or a combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 2 years of CAD design experience
- Strong proficiency with 2D CAD tools; AutoCAD preferred
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Mechanical aptitude & experience with packaging or automation equipment desired
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, & Outlook)
- Excellent communication, planning, and time management skills
