Sales and Marketing Intern
As a Sales & Marketing Summer Intern, you will directly support the Sales team by assisting with lead generation, prospect research, CRM data management, and marketing initiatives that drive revenue growth. This role will focus on identifying and organizing new business opportunities, enhancing customer data quality, and supporting sales representatives through research, digital outreach strategies, and marketing content development.
You will play a key role in helping Sales maximize efficiency and pipeline development without direct selling responsibilities.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
Required: Currently enrolled in college pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
Preferred: Focus in Marketing, Sales, or Business Analytics.
EXPERIENCE
· No prior professional experience required.
· Experience with social media, CRM tools, or marketing projects is preferred.
REPRESENTATIVE SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
- Strong interest in sales, marketing, and business development.
· Proficiency or familiarity with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred).
· Experience or interest in social media marketing and content creation.
· Strong research and analytical skills.
· Ability to organize, clean, and manage data efficiently.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· Self-starter with strong attention to detail.
· Familiarity with tools such as ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, Excel, or similar platforms is a plus.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Support & Lead Generation
- Research and identify potential customers and target accounts using tools such as ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, and industry resources.
· Build and organize prospect lists segmented by industry verticals (e.g., retail, manufacturing, food & beverage, etc.).
· Assist Sales representatives by preparing account research, contact lists, and background insights prior to outreach.
· Support pipeline development by identifying new leads and updating prospect activity within CRM.
· Help track and report on lead generation efforts and campaign effectiveness.
CRM Management & Data Quality
- Review, clean, and update customer and prospect profiles in HubSpot CRM to ensure accuracy and completeness.
· Standardize data fields such as industry verticals, contact information, and account details.
· Assist in maintaining organized and actionable sales data to improve reporting and targeting.
· Identify gaps in CRM data and recommend improvements.
Marketing & Sales Enablement
- Assist in creating and updating marketing and sales materials (presentations, one-pagers, email templates, etc.).
· Support development of targeted marketing campaigns aligned with key industry verticals.
· Create and manage social media content that supports brand awareness and lead generation efforts.
· Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to gather insights and improve messaging.
· Help align marketing efforts with sales objectives to drive qualified opportunities.
Research & Market Intelligence
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and customer segments.
· Analyze customer data to identify trends and opportunities for sales growth.
· Provide insights to Sales and Marketing teams to improve targeting strategies.
General Support
- Assist with administrative and project-based tasks supporting both Sales and Marketing teams.
· Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving sales processes and marketing strategies.
· Support additional sales and marketing initiatives as needed.
