What We OfferPosition Purpose:
Drive sales growth and new market development for Taiwan's TPU business by managing existing accounts while identifying, developing, and commercializing new markets, applications, and customer segments. Expand Covestro's footprint through strategic account management, market intelligence, partnership building, and cross-functional collaboration with a strong emphasis on both sales operations and business development.
Major tasks and responsibilities:
<Sales Operations & Account Management> Define and implement Taiwan country growth strategy and sales plan aligned with country and regional targets. Take active ownership of Key Account Plans and ensure consistent execution. Manage existing accounts while pursuing new business opportunities in compliance with policies and pricing governance.
<New Market Development> Identify, evaluate, and commercialize new markets, applications, and customer segments. Lead market entry strategies for emerging industries (e.g., IT, Healthcare, Functional Films). Build and manage a structured pipeline of new business opportunities from prospecting to commercialization.
<Market Intelligence> Continuously monitor and analyze market trends, competitive landscape, technology developments, and regulatory changes. Provide regular market, customer, and competitor reports to country and regional management. Identify whitespace opportunities and translate insights into actionable development plans.
<Customer & Partner Development> Proactively establish and develop relationships with existing and new customers, brands, OEMs, and molders across footwear, IT, Healthcare, film & sheet, and other industries. Manage new customer onboarding and project portfolio from initial contact through first commercial order.
<Value Chain & Transplant Management> Develop and enhance relationships with brand owners and OEM head offices to support business growth and transplant operations outside of Taiwan. Map and manage the value chain to identify leverage points and strengthen Covestro's positioning and coordinate with regional teams to capture business following key customers globally.
<Product & Application Development> Collaborate with BD and R&D to align product development roadmaps with identified market needs. Arrange product testing, trials, and technical seminars for prospective and existing customers. Deliver market-facing presentations and training to support new application adoption.
<Commercial Excellence & Operations Optimization> Leverage digital and AI tools to improve operational efficiency and account performance. Drive value-based pricing with Regional Product Management. Continuously optimize commercial processes, pipeline management, and reporting.
<Cross-BE & Cross-functional Collaboration> Collaborate across Business Entities (BEs) and internally with Sales, BD, R&D, PPS, P&T, and SCC to accelerate market entry and account growth. Coordinate with credit management on new customer onboarding and risk assessment.
<Leadership> Foster a proactive, innovative-oriented team culture focused on growth and market expansion. Drive product development and application development aligned with market development goals.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Plastics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

5+ years of industry experience, preferably in an international chemical company.
Demonstrated experience in both account management and new market/business development.
Experiences in Footwear/IT/Engineering Polymer industries is an advantage but not a must.

Strong market sensing, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
Proven sales management and account ownership capabilities.
Excellent interpersonal skills: cross-cultural communication, persuasion, and stakeholder management.
Proficiency in digital tools and openness to AI-driven commercial workflows.
