Sales ManagerYour role and responsibilities:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to define, manage, and continuously improve the sales strategy for analytical products such as gas analyzers, liquid analyzers, and water analyzers within the Automation — Measurement & analytics division in the India Region.You will be responsible for ensuring sustainable growth in orders, revenue, market share, and boosting customer satisfaction by leading an effective sales team and collaborating across business areas. You will also oversee the development and execution of key sales processes, customer engagement strategies, and team capability building.
This role contributes to Automation — Measurement & analytics division (Analytical products) in the India Region.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Defining sales targets and establishing metrics and tools to monitor and improve performance.
Identifying gaps in performance and implementing corrective actions to ensure target achievement.
Expanding business development by identifying and pursuing opportunities in analytical products like gas, liquid, and water analyzers with new and existing customers, including consultants and EPCs.
participating in key negotiations and ensuring contract and pricing strategies align with business objectives.
Leading, mentoring, and enabling the sales team for sustainable progress and long-term growth.
promoting collaboration across divisions, functions, and teams to enhance customer value and ABB profitability.
Qualifications for the role:
12 to 18 years Of experience in sales and business development Of analytical instruments, specifically gas, water, and liquid analyzers.
Skill in crafting and implementing structured sales strategies to boost revenue, profitability, and expand market reach.
Effective execution in solution-based selling, key account management, and business development within analytical instrumentation.
Demonstrated ability in negotiating high-value contracts, managing pricing strategies, and managing sales-related risk and compliance.
Effective leadership skills with experience in mentoring cross-functional teams and meeting performance goals.
Familiarity with portfolio management, sales enablement, and go-to-market strategies tailored to the analytical market.
Deep understanding Of market intelligence, customer experience management, and competitive positioning in the analytical space.
Comfortable operating in complex, matrixed organizations and managing diverse internal and external stakeholders.
