The Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead and grow our wood sales operations across the Baltic region (Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania), with responsibility for both local and export markets. In this cross-country role, you will be accountable for driving external sales performance, ensuring profitability, and playing a key role in the overall success of our wood supply business.

You will be responsible for the full profit and loss (P&L) performance within your area and will lead all commercial activities, pricing strategies, and customer relationship development across diverse markets. Your ability to collaborate across functions—particularly with Operations, Private Forest Owners (PFO), and Wood Trade & Steering teams—will be critical to success.

This is a high-impact role requiring a strategic mindset, commercial acumen, and a solid understanding of the Baltic wood market. You will report directly to the Director, Wood Trade & Steering, Baltics, and will be a core contributor to the Forest Baltic unit’s strategic objectives.

Be part of a nature positive future.

As Sales Manager, your key responsibilities include:

  • Driving external sales of wood across Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, including to export markets
  • Taking full ownership of sales profitability and delivering against revenue and margin targets
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with both local and international customers
  • Analyzing and managing P&L to optimize profitability and ensure commercial performance
  • Developing and implementing pricing strategies aligned with market trends and internal targets
  • Working in close cooperation with internal stakeholders: Operations, PFO, and Wood Trade & Steering teams
  • Identifying new sales opportunities and leading contract negotiations
  • Ensuring alignment with company-wide sustainability and sourcing standards

Who are we looking for?

In order to be successful in this role, we except you to have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in Forestry, Business, Sales, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in sales, business development, or commercial management. Experience in international trade and export sales is a strong plus
  • Proven experience in sales and commercial roles, ideally within the forestry or wood industry
  • Solid understanding of the raw wood business dynamics in the Baltic countries
  • Strong analytical and financial skills with experience in P&L management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
  • Comfortable working in a cross-border, multicultural environment
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of any Baltic languages is an advantage
  • Willing and able to travel regularly across the Baltic region and beyond
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive and hands-on attitude

What We Offer

  • A high-impact leadership role with regional responsibilities
  • Flexible location within the Baltics (Estonia, Latvia, or Lithuania)
  • Opportunity to work in a purpose-driven and sustainability-focused industry
  • Supportive and experienced colleagues across the Forest Baltic unit
  • Professional development and international career growth opportunities
