This role requires a proactive dealmaker who thrives at the intersection of enterprise sales, partner alliances, and technical solutioning.
New Business Acquisition & Account Expansion
- Identify, engage, and convert new OEM and Tier-1 target accounts to meet and exceed individual sales targets and drive revenue growth.
- Map client technical pain points (such as SDV development, embedded systems, and cloud integration) to HARMAN’s AES portfolio.
- Establish trusted relationships with key client decision-makers across software engineering, procurement, and executive leadership.
- Execute Joint GTM. Collaborate actively with regional hyperscalers, cloud providers, and technology vendors to co-sell and drive joint pipeline origination.
- Co-Marketing & Enablement. Support joint marketing campaigns, partner events, and industry expos to boost HARMAN's market visibility and deal velocity.
Commercial Negotiation & Deal Structuring
- Structure Complex Deals. Draft and structure competitive commercial proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), and multi-year service agreements with appropriate margin profiles.
- Navigate Contract Negotiations. Lead commercial discussions alongside HARMAN legal, delivery, and pricing teams to maximize deal win rates and long-term contract value.
Execution & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Forecast & Pipeline Management. Maintain accurate deal forecasting, opportunity tracking, and weekly activity metrics within CRM.
- Global Delivery Collaboration. Work closely with global engineering, solution architecture, and offshore delivery teams (Eastern Europe & Asia) to ensure seamless handoffs from deal closure to project kickoff.
- 8+ years of successful sales, business development, or account management experience within automotive engineering services, software, or technology consulting.
- Proven track record of closing complex, multi-year services deals and meeting/exceeding individual sales quotas.
- Strong understanding of automotive software trends, cloud architectures, managed services, and Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) concepts.
- Experience in co-selling alongside major technology partners (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, silicon vendors, or Tier-1 ecosystems).
- Solid commercial acumen with expertise in pricing models, margin optimization, and SOW creation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of client organizations.
