About Wind Harvest
Wind Harvest International designs, sells, and develops projects for mid-size, H-type vertical-axis wind turbines. Our Wind Harvesters capture turbulent, mid-level winds and go where traditional turbines can’t be permitted or won’t perform well.
Building on Technology Readiness Level 7 testing at the UL Advanced Wind Turbine Testing Facility in Amarillo, Texas, we are on course to reach TRL 8 in the first half of 2027 and TRL 9 in 2028. Our near-term focus is behind-the-meter projects. Our long-term goal is to unlock the strong, untapped wind resources beneath existing wind farms.
The Role
We are looking for a proactive, relationship-driven Sales Manager to build our customer base and commercial pipeline. You will own opportunities across the full sales cycle, from prospecting and cold outreach through discovery, proposals, negotiation, and contract execution. You will work closely with leadership and Engineering on long, consultative B2B sales involving multiple stakeholders.
As our commercial organization grows, the Sales Manager will take on building and leading the sales team.
What You’ll Do
- Prospecting. Identify target customers, projects, and partners, and generate new business through cold and warm calling, email, LinkedIn, referrals, and industry events.
- Qualification. Respond quickly to inbound inquiries. Run discovery on customer needs, site conditions, budget, timeline, and decision process, and prioritize opportunities by technical and commercial fit.
- Consultative sales. Learn our technology and project economics well enough to explain them to technical and non-technical buyers. Work with Engineering so every performance claim, specification, certification, and warranty statement matches approved documentation.
- Pipeline and CRM. Keep accurate CRM records, move opportunities through defined sales stages, and give leadership a reliable pipeline and revenue forecast.
- Proposals and closing. Coordinate proposals, pricing, and presentations. Support negotiations alongside leadership, Engineering, and legal, and own the relationship through contract execution and handoff.
- Account relationships. Build trusted, long-term relationships through lengthy project cycles and stay engaged after the sale.
- Stakeholder management. Keep the many parties involved in each project aligned, including customers, site owners, utilities, partners, and internal teams. Manage expectations, surface concerns early, and keep decisions moving.
- Trade shows and events. Select, plan, and coordinate Wind Harvest’s participation in trade shows and conferences. Represent the company at events, follow up on every lead, and report on results.
- Sales team leadership. As the company grows, build, coach, and manage the sales team, setting sales practices, performance expectations, and pipeline discipline.
