About the Role
As Sales Manager, you will be the primary commercial owner of Covestro's Polyurethanes (PM) business across ANZ (excl. Polycarbonates Resins), managing portfolio across Polyurethanes product lines such as TDI/LC PET and MDI. You will drive profitable volume growth, execute customer strategies, and advance Covestro's Circular Economy agenda in a mature and dynamic market — all while leveraging digital tools and AI-enabled approaches to sharpen commercial performance.
This is a high-impact individual contributor role with significant commercial autonomy, embedded in the Polyurethanes business unit structure and contributing directly to APAC regional business steering.
What You'll Do
- Manage the Polyurethanes ANZ sales by developing and implementing country-level sales plans aligned with Polyurethanes APAC strategies, in collaboration with Product Management and Supply Chain & Logistics.
- Steer pricing and volume allocation by building bottom-up demand scenarios and aligning market approach with Product Management to optimise Covestro's commercial position.
- Develop and execute customer-specific negotiation strategies; maintain key account and distributors relationships through direct commercial and technical engagement to grow sales profitably.
- Build and share in-depth market intelligence via Covestro Data System, Account Plans, and Interaction Reports; maintain forecast accuracy and working capital targets for ANZ.
- Drive business development initiatives including Circular Economy projects (e.g. Mass Balancing), identify new product/technology opportunities, and prepare supporting business cases.
- Contribute actively to Business Plan, Monthly Steering, Business Regular Check, and Management Team meetings; support APAC Core projects including Future of Sales and Circular Economy initiatives rollout.
- Champion adoption of AI-enabled sales tools and digital platforms (including Customer Relationship Management/Cloud 4 Customer) to improve commercial efficiency, customer insight generation, and decision-making quality.
- Membership participation in various advocacy and industry associations.
What You’ll Bring
Education
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Science or Business.
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience, ideally in Polyurethanes sectors.
- Proven commercial negotiation and key account management capability in industrial markets.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate regional strategy into country-level execution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, digital fluency including comfort with AI-assisted sales tools, Customer Relationship Management automation (Cloud 4 Customer/SAP), and data analytics platforms.
