About the Role

We are looking for a high-performing, commercially driven Business Development professional to accelerate our growth in the Nordics market.

This is a quota-carrying role with full ownership of a Book of Business and the responsibility for driving new business development. You will engage senior stakeholders across asset managers, asset owners, and banks, positioning Morningstar|Sustainalytics’ ESG solutions as critical to their investment and regulatory strategies. This role is suited for top performers who thrive in competitive environments, take ownership, and consistently deliver against ambitious targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a Book of Business, with full accountability for revenue generation, retention, and expansion.

  • Proactively identify and convert white space opportunities to drive new revenue across target accounts.

  • Lead end-to-end sales cycles, from origination to negotiation and closing.

  • Develop senior relationships with key decision-makers across financial institutions.

  • Lead RFP processes and drive coordinated deal execution across internal teams.

  • Represent the firm in the market to originate opportunities and strengthen brand presence.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a competitive, solution-based sales environment.

  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to close complex, multi-stakeholder deals.

  • Experience managing the full sales cycle and growing strategic accounts.

  • Established network within the target client base.

  • Highly driven, ownership mindset, and results-oriented.

  • Interest in ESG and sustainable finance.

  • English and Swedish fluency (essential); Finish, Danish and Norwegian are a plus

  • 5 - 7 years of relevant experience.

Base Salary Compensation RangeSEK 557,000.00-817,666.66

Commission Target:

43% Annual

This role offers a commission target which may vary by up to ±15% depending on final plan design and business factors.

We expect the compensation and target bonus for this role to fall within the stated range. The specific compensation offered will depend on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors.
