In this new role, the Sales Manager directs the sales activities of the dealership by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

  • Forecasts goals and objectives to the GSM.
  • Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all Sales Associates.
  • Directs sales staffing and training in ways that will enhance the development and control of sales programs.
  • Establishes daily and monthly objectives for unit sales and gross profits and compliance to finance turnovers.
  • Monitors Sales Associates productivity and performance.
  • Administers and monitors factory sponsored programs.
  • Displays, merchandises, and promotes new and used vehicles.
  • Reviews market analyses and sales reports to determine customer needs, and volume potential.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Attends manager’s meetings as requested. 
  • Conducts daily sales training and executes delivery of daily work plans to sales staff.

Position Requirements: 

  • Three to five years related experience.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume.
  • Ability to motivate and lead the sales force.
  • Valid Florida driver’s license.
