We’re expanding our Competence Center in Australia and seeking a passionate Sales Manager Taction to drive growth for our Local Traction Division across Australia and New Zealand.

Reporting to Head of Sales Traction, this position will be based in Melbourne, Australia.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Drive local demand across ANZ for the full Railway portfolio (OEM, retrofit, Service), including traction and auxiliary converters, motors, batteries, and catalogue products, while supporting Mobile e‑Power electrification initiatives for off‑highway and commercial vehicles.

  • Achieve qualitative and quantitative sales targets through effective customer relationship management, market development, technical engagement, and high‑quality tender preparation with accurate technical and commercial offer inputs.

  • Lead end‑to‑end sales processes, including T&Cs, risk reviews, project setup, monthly sales project reviews, and collaboration with global teams, ensuring strong data quality and market intelligence via Salesforce.

  • Build deep technical expertise in Railway and Mobile e‑Power solutions, identify new market opportunities, and drive cross‑functional knowledge sharing to align customer needs with optimal solutions.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience in a related field

  • Sound knowledge of onboard traction systems and power electronics for rolling stock and mining truck applications is preferred.

  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal communication skills 

  • Experience in system sales to bring together products and software to deliver a solution for the customer

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

  • Willing to travel interstate and across the ANZ region
