Ihre Aufgaben

  • Verantwortung für die Geschäftsentwicklung und das Umsatzwachstum im Markt für Telekommunikations-Glasfaserkabel in Süddeutschland und der Schweiz

  • Identifikation, Entwicklung und Betreuung von Key Accounts, einschließlich Netzbetreibern, Installationsunternehmen, Distributoren und Rechenzentrumsbetreibern

  • Aufbau und Ausbau von Beziehungen in Schlüsselsegmenten (Rechenzentren / Vermittlungsstellen (CO) / FTTx (Fiber to the X)-Netze)

  • Steuerung des gesamten Vertriebsprozesses von der Identifikation von Geschäftsmöglichkeiten bis hin zur Vertragsverhandlung und zum Abschluss

  • Durchführung von Value-Based Selling sowie Preisverhandlungen mit Kunden und Partnern

  • Entwicklung und Umsetzung regionaler Vertriebsstrategien im Einklang mit den Unternehmenszielen

  • Technisch-kaufmännische Unterstützung und Beratung für Kunden im Bereich Glasfaserkabellösungen (z. B. LWL-Kabel, Konnektivität, passive Infrastruktur)

  • Funktion als zentrale Schnittstelle zwischen Kunden und internen Teams (Produktmanagement, Engineering, Supply Chain)

  • Durchführung von Produktpräsentationen, Kundenschulungen sowie Teilnahme an Branchenveranstaltungen und Messen

  • Beobachtung von Markttrends, Wettbewerbsaktivitäten und Kundenbedürfnissen zur Identifikation neuer Geschäftsmöglichkeiten

Ihr Profil

  • Mehrjährige Erfahrung im Vertrieb oder Business Development in der Telekommunikationsinfrastruktur- oder Kabelindustrie

  • Nachweisbare Erfahrung in mindestens einem der folgenden Segmente (Rechenzentren / Vermittlungsstellen (CO) / FTTx (Fiber to the X)-Netze)

  • Fundiertes Verständnis von Glasfaserprodukten und passiver Netzwerkinfrastruktur (z. B. Kabel, Microducts, Konnektivität)

  • Nachweisbare Erfolge im Key Account Management und in der Neukundenentwicklung

  • Kaufmännisches Denken sowie ausgeprägte Verhandlungs- und Abschlussstärke

  • Fähigkeit, technische Lösungen in konkreten Kundennutzen zu übersetzen (Value-Based Selling)

  • Starke Kommunikations- und Präsentationsfähigkeiten

Overview
 

We are looking for a Sales Manager Telecom (Optical Fiber Cables) to join our Sales Team in Germany (remote). The role requires regular travel across Southern Germany and Switzerland. Reporting directly to Head of Telecom Sales DACH.
 

Your Responsibilities

  • Drive business development and sales growth in the telecom optical fiber cable market across Southern Germany and Switzerland

  • Identify, develop and manage key accounts including network operators, installers, distributors, and data center customers

  • Build and expand relationships in key segments (Data Centers / Central Offices (CO) / FTTx (Fiber to the X) networks)

  • Lead the full sales cycle from opportunity identification to contract negotiation and closing

  • Conduct value-based selling and pricing negotiations with customers and partners

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with company targets

  • Provide technical-commercial support and consultation to customers on fiber optic cable solutions (e.g. LWL cables, connectivity, passive infrastructure)

  • Act as a key interface between customers and internal teams (product management, engineering, supply chain)

  • Deliver product presentations, customer trainings, and participate in industry events and trade fairs

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities


Your profile

  • Several years of experience in sales or business development within the telecom infrastructure or cable industry

  • Proven experience in at least one of the following segments  (Data Centers / Central Offices (CO) / FTTx (Fiber to the X) networks)

  • Strong understanding of fiber optic products and passive network infrastructure (e.g. cables, microducts, connectivity)

  • Demonstrated success in managing key accounts and developing new business

  • Commercial mindset with strong negotiation and closing skills

  • Ability to translate technical solutions into customer value (value-based selling)

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Fluent German (mandatory) and advanced English proficiency

Would be an advantage

  • Existing network within telecom operators, installers, or data center ecosystem in the region

  • Experience working across DACH markets, especially Switzerland

  • Background in fiber optic cable manufacturers or telecom infrastructure vendors
