Location: Hybrid – Tampa, FL

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to lead and oversee our sales team in North America. The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing strategic plans, and managing the performance of the sales representatives within their assigned territory. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales management, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the sales process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of sales representatives within the designated region, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure individual and team performance goals are met.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and market share growth in the assigned region. Develop KPI metrics to monitor and improve performance.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior management on progress, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Track, monitor and analyze direct reports sales calls, customer visits, and tradeshow visits.
  • Recruit, train, and onboard new sales representatives, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and resources to succeed.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to sales representatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate development plans.
  • Foster a high-performance sales culture within the team, promoting collaboration, accountability, and a customer-centric approach.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, customer service and product development, to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitors' activities, making recommendations for adjustments to sales strategies as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders in the region, leveraging these relationships to drive sales opportunities and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all sales activities.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the battery sector
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze sales data and make data-driven decisions
  • Results-oriented and able to thrive in a target-driven environment
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales productivity tools
  • Flexibility to travel within the assigned region as needed
