Robeco Spain offers a wide range of investment solutions, including fundamentally driven equity and fixed income funds, Quantitative investment strategies, Multi-asset portfolios, Thematic investments and tailored advisory services for institutional clients.
Position & Requirements
The Sales Manager will play a key role in Robeco’s commercial development in the wholesale segment across Iberia. The mission will be to deepen our relationships with Asset Managers, Private Banking units, Financial Advisors and IFAs, strengthen brand presence, and generate sustainable asset growth by delivering client-centric investment solutions and leveraging Robeco’s global capabilities.
Key responsibilities :
Commercial & Strategic Development
- Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities across wholesale distribution channels, including private banks, agents, IFAs and asset managers.
- Conduct research and perform analyses to understand market & competitive environment to be able to identify commercial opportunities and threats, with a “data driven” mindset
- Build and execute strategic account plans aligned with Robeco’s commercial objectives
- Lead growth initiatives with clients under responsibility by analyzing client needs and market dynamics, addressing emerging trends
Client Engagement & Sales Excellence
- Leverage internal expertise (Investment Specialists, Portfolio Management, Marketing, Legal & Compliance) to deliver tailored client outcomes
- Maintain a strong client activity, supported by structured planning and disciplined follow‑up
- Effectively articulate Robeco’s investment philosophy, sustainability leadership, and product strengths
Collaboration & Internal Leadership
- Actively contribute to team goals and annual sales targets
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across functions to ensure seamless client experience
- Provide regular commercial insights, competitive intelligence, and pipeline updates to management
Regulatory, Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure full alignment with Robeco’s compliance framework and regulatory obligations (MiFID II, AMF guidelines, SFDR classifications…)
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and ensure rigorous CRM discipline
Your profile:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in asset management sales, with a proven track record of success in the Iberian wholesale market
- Established network of key decision-makers across the channels to develop
- Strong ability to acquire new clients and deepen existing relationships
- Solid understanding of investment solutions, financial markets, and the wholesale sales process
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- High degree of autonomy, proactivity, and goal orientation
