Job Description

As a Sales Manager at NTS Drachten, you are responsible for the commercial results of the location and the management of the local sales organization. This is a working managerial role: you lead the team and actively participate in the daily sales process yourself. NTS Drachten, with over 120 employees, is a compact and independent location, separate from the other NTS branches. This makes this role distinctly independent: you translate NTS Group's commercial strategy into local practice and, together with the Managing Director, provide direction for the site's commercial course. You report directly to the Managing Director of NTS Drachten and, as a member of the MT, are part of the local management team.


You lead the local sales team, consisting of the sales support team (about 2 FTE) and an account manager. You work for leading customers in the Semiconductor and Analytical industry, in close collaboration with the Global Account Managers and the headquarters in Eindhoven. Drachten is your fixed location. In addition, you travel regularly for customer visits, both nationally and internationally and within the NTS Group. Furthermore, your responsibilities include:
  • You lead the local sales team, consisting of the sales support team (about 2 FTE) and an account manager, and ensure focus, development, and commercial effectiveness;

  • As a working manager, you actively participate in the sales process, including drafting, evaluating, and reviewing proposals;

  • Together with the Managing Director, you are jointly responsible for revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction at the Drachten location;

  • You manage strategic and local accounts, in close collaboration with your team and the Global Account Managers;

  • You translate our technological expertise, such as ultra-precise machining, into distinctive customer propositions and optimize local sales processes, including contract management, order processing, and cost control, in coordination with the other NTS locations and the headquarters in Eindhoven;

  • You develop growth plans for both strategic and local customers and actively manage their implementation;

  • You identify market and customer developments, drive new business opportunities, and provide direction for strategic and tactical policies for Drachten.

Requirements

We are looking for a commercially strong and independent leader with the following background:

  • HBO/WO level of education, preferably in a technical field;

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial (managerial) role within a high-tech environment;

  • Experience in the high-tech manufacturing industry, preferably in ultra-precise machining or opto-mechatronics, is a plus;

  • Ability to translate technology into customer value and concrete growth opportunities;

  • Strong commercial, communication, and connecting skills, both in Dutch and English;

  • Customer-oriented, results-oriented, and strong organisational skills, seamlessly switching between strategic vision and hands-on execution;

  • Willingness to travel for customer visits, nationally and internationally, with Drachten as your fixed location. You work from our location in Drachten and are consistently present here.
