PRIMARY FUNCTION:

To exceed annual sales plan within the gas dehydration target market. Grow segment by winning new customers and increasing market share with existing customers. Support fabrication and distribution customers and build strong relationships to position Viking Pump Energy to become the premier product offering in gas dehydration applications.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meets or exceeds segment sales revenue forecast as established by the Sales Director and Business Line Manager.

  • Make sales calls with/without fabricators and DXP and builds relationships with key customers in the specific geographically assigned region.

  • Communicate call results to fabricators and segment team with action items if applicable.

  • Manage "project" activity in the assigned territory, including product offering, recommend pricing levels based on Value Selling concepts, and establish sales strategy while following company policies and objectives.

  • Sales call and Lead management to be captured and reported through applicable tools and processes as defined.

  • Provide technical consultation to the customer on product solutions

  • Working closely with fabricator partners and DXP to train on value proposition, technical understanding, and collaborative end user trainings.

  • Develop and implement strategies for displacement of competition at new and existing targeted accounts with the goal of increased market share and penetration.

  • Facilitate required training to fabricators, channel partner, and end users on commercial issues.

  • Build relationships with end users personnel across their organization.

  • Provide the company with new product ideas, market trends, territory market data, sales growth strategies, and competitive intelligence. Participate on New Product Development, marketing, and sales teams as required.

  • Continually develop personal sales skills via self-development.

  • Other duties as assigned by Management

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering related to an applicable discipline

  • 5 years experience in industrial field sales or product management

OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Self-motivated, excellent organizational skills, planning skills and presentation skills

  • Strong technical skills

  • Manage relationships and establish credibility

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Computer skills including CRM and other tools as developed

WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to move within office and manufacturing complex, write by hand and keyboard, and perform general office functions.

  • Ability to communicate by speech and hearing via phone and in person.

  • Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.

  • General manufacturing, warehouse and office environment.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate with customers, suppliers and all levels of corporate and company personnel.

  • Works closely with other unit field sales management, other IDEX business units, IDEX Strategic Account Management organization, Customer Support Center (CSC), Applications and Product Engineering, Warranty & Repair, Information Systems, and Accounting.
