Your role and responsibilities:
As a Sales Manager for Energy Industries business in Philippines, you will be responsible for applying strategic account management principles to secure high-value orders and consistently achieve individual booking targets. Operating within established organizational and functional frameworks, your primary objective will be to collaborate closely with the sales organization to identify, engage, and influence key stakeholders—including EPCs, asset owners, and developers—across large-scale onshore energy infrastructure projects.
These projects encompass LNG terminals, petrochemical complexes, refineries, hydrogen production facilities, and utility-scale power generation plants. You will lead the pursuit of integrated solutions that include industrial control systems, power distribution, automation, and digital technologies, ensuring they are tailored to meet specific customer requirements while aligning with ABB’s strategic goals.

- Driving strategic sales initiatives and account development plans to grow market share.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers across the customer ecosystem.
- Leading complex sales pursuits from opportunity identification through to contract closure.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop compelling value propositions and solution architectures.
- Championing the delivery of high-quality automation solutions with support from technical proposal and back-office teams, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, and value-driven
- Overseeing tender costing, evaluate commercial terms and conditions, and actively participate in negotiations with customers and vendors to secure favourable outcomes and mitigate risk
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other related field.
- 5 to 8 years in energy industries, with at least 5 years in front-end sales for automation and control solutions.
- Hands-on delivery of automation solutions such as ICSS, PMS, SCADA, telecom, and digital systems for onshore energy.
- Ability to apply innovative approaches to complex sales challenges, with strong market and customer insight.
- Skilled in managing bids, costing, contracts, and negotiations with customers and vendors.
- Familiar with tools like Salesforce and account planning, following governance and approval protocols.
- Strong skills in communication, listening, negotiation, and presentation; able to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Driven to win business and dedicated to delivering value while ensuring excellent customer experience throughout the sales cycle.
